Usually its when the devs feel it's polished enough to go to the live branch, which normally happens in 1 or 2 weeks, depending how big the update is. The current update was not huge and most of the issues were fixed already, so unless they have bigger plans to include something else, we should be seeing it in the live branch soon-ish. It is understandable if the developers want to make sure the new 64 bit versions are working properly before they get released however, including all different architectures and dedicated server software.
