Beware of undigging too many possible co2 killer tiles if you start a fresh terra classic map, they can fill your entire base ( suicide ). Seed V-SNDST-C-1945885469-1M3 has co2 geyser - However, that pressure was present in every uranium field. The uranium fields are all tile separated and the uranium fields had been all sealed/closed from the beginning. I think the 600/kg tile co2 pressure ( for hundreds of tiles ) was present instantly at map spawn ( guessing from play observations and un-digging everything ). Didn`t post it originally as bug because it took me a while to realize that this high co2 pressure may have not been intended by Klei, realizing that now. @EricKlei

BTW would be great if Klei can re-enable the stacking of rockets, currently rockets can not fly through platforms anymore. :confusion:

If it where a long term problem I would have upgraded from 50x to 100x carbon skimmer`s. I`m current still running ~50x skimmers with 18 million water feeds, in 2 hours or so the co2 should all be gone  Earlier I nearly died of all the co2 flooding the base, because I only had 20 skimmers at that point in time.

FYI the CO² killer tiles still exist in the preview branch - Perhaps(?) less tiles though, not sure...Maybe it used to be worse :lol:

Update:

Map generation for dlc terra classic terra seems to have improved in terms of CO² - There is now also some "normal" generated CO² pressure tile fields to be found.

The co2 killer tiles battle, with 50x carbon skimmers, is going on since 10 hours now. An easy map...death! for beginners :concern:

Dealing with the co2 killer tiles now for a total time of around 20 hours. @Ipsquiggle

Dear Klei, please reduce the map generated co2 tile pressure down from a few hundred to 5kg or so, many thanks :p

LONG LIVE THE CO² KILLER TILES !

Only some kind of masochist would fight the co2 killer tile battle for a 2nd time :confused::confused:

why you just not pump that inside some room and make the slickster farm?

Pumping 1000 tons of co2 with 50-200 pumps to somewhere else is not beginner friendly, IMHO. Have you played the dlc classic terra map ? Beginners will need no pump, as they will kill themself as the map is filling with co2.

Its the 2nd time Ive started playing dlc terra classic. The problem used to be that they spawned 1000kg co2 per tile. Now there are also some tiles with low pressure, the world generation has improved. However, IMHO a casual player should encounter something like 5kg per tile, there should be no 100-800kg tiles co2 in the map.

There is often connected tile spaces, so it not unusual to have 5-10 tons rushing out at once as one tile is opened. If one digs a bit more out of the uranium biome, the co2 can suffocate casual gamers - As it fills the entire map up to the ceiling. IMHO the co2 is currently more than 50-150 times the kg value it should be per tile. 5kg per tile would be a fair value, IMHO.
