Cookiemies Posted October 22, 2020 Share Posted October 22, 2020 So after seeing the post about forgotten knowledge being released, this sentence kinda stood out to me: "We have the beta for another content update coming in November followed by its release and Winter’s Feast in December." Does this mean that the next upcoming beta is the final beta and basicly the final content update with return of them? Please tell me im wrong. I'm pretty sure the devs would have stated that the upcoming beta will be the finale of RoT, though i could be mistaken. Either way it's interesting to see what that "big" update will reveal. Not to mention the teaser seems a bit underwhelming. Some sort of plant? Might be super crazy useful who knows. They're also (hopefully) "returning to the normal update schedule" following a break AFTER this update. So unless this just means reworks/a new update batch—I would assume we may still have more Return of Them coming. The ocean needs some more stuff imo, ofc I don't expect us to get ocean updates for maybe another update or two, its time for the lunar content to have its turn. But if RoT ends without much more additions to the ocean i'll be a bit dissapointed to be honest. I mean Klei made it clear that after a Holiday break that they can hopefully return to their regularly planned content schedule- that sounds less like “The End” and more like- “Sit tight guys more is coming just be patient!” Its like when you watch a TV series- you have a Season Finale which means after a short break more will resume next season. Then you have the Series Finale- Aka the final definitive ending and there won’t be another season. I Sincerely hope to see a lot more content before RoT is through- as others have pointed out the ocean still feels lifeless compared to Klei’s content filled Ocean of DS Shipwrecked.. And we all know how much Summer season needs it’s own unique content and mobs by now.. So the TL:DR- I hope the next update isn’t the final one..
