I also do not understand the pattern of it asking for food (when does it decide to run towards you and open its mouth?). Rule of thumb, it's basically impossible to tell the right things to do without a mod that shows the beefalo's values in numerical. If you've done this at least once a day, you're fine. If you can't be bothered, put up a salt lick and park him by it until you're ready again. I managed to tame with the UI mod that shows you stats of everything but then turned it off and it became confusing. Vultureneck Posted February 15, 2020 Share Posted February 15, 2020 Also you don't need to feed the beefalo while you are riding it, often when I start taming one early I just stick a saddle on one and stay on the thing until it's tamed, only feeding it something like twigs or light bulbs until it lets me back on.
