Tile produces light 2 tiles above itself when conmnected to power (tiles act as a powerwire so it`s enough to connect one side). Lets say 2W per tile. I would love to see whole planet to be darker ( it is under ground after all) and make it more difficult to perform any tasks without light. Also builders should have head torch. But light bulbs need a power source ... a long corridor, it would be very bad to make long space cables in lign space one for each lamp; Respectfully I hate plugging in power cords for everything.
