It's never really stated when the Gnaw got there (at least i believe) but Mumsy has claimed that the gnaw was there since she was a lamb in one of the quotes in-game, so she definitely had a rough childhood as well. Quote is also kinda interesting since it implies that The Gnaw has been in this place for a longggg time.
