ToiDiaeRaRIsuOy
So I'm a dumb*ss and made an error to believe stuffed berry only needed 1kg of peppernut, while it actually needs 2kg. The game is able to merge small quantity packets. I spawned in a 1kg peppernut, with around 1.6kg of peppernut available in the grill split up in 400g, 700g and 500g. Sure enough the 1kg packet got picked, put in the grill and the dupe started cooking. @lonelysquirrel You have a supply problem. I think there's not enough peppernut available, or your dupes cannot reach what is available. What I recommend is creating a peppernut farm near your base. And maybe put your duplicants on gristle berry for now. As soon as I queue Barbeque or Stuffed Berry, the Grill gets odd amounts of Peppernuts in its contents, and it blocks all cooking. You can see in the screenshot. I didn't actually see if it adds up to 1kg or not. It might be a floating point error. I will try composting the peppernuts and seeing if that can sort it out. That could well be it. If it is, keep the save and make a bug report with it. 1 hour ago, lonelysquirrel said: After composting that Pincha Peppernut, my chef is now able to make BBQ. So I am almost sure this was it. I don't know if it's because of the age or if it's a floating point error on the amount. Come to think of it, combining was recently changed so only ingredients that match to a certain degree in freshness will get combined. fishoutofwater
Had similar problem too, less than a gram of 11% stale pincha left in the grill was the cause. My approach is to keep cooking ingredients at the same freshness. Craigjw
Loader arms don't like loading 1g packets, it just drops the item and tries again, leading to an endless loop. The easiest way to fix this is disable the loader arm and select the item for composting. shanemadden
I think it's an issue with recipes that require multiple ingredients - it gets stuck on one as the 'next' recipe to process despite not having all ingredients available, and won't move on to a different queued recipe that has the ingredients available. Having one grill for peppernut-related stuff and one grill for everything else seems to work just fine as a workaround. Lawnmower Man
I had a sweeper trying to move 112 *micrograms* of egg back and forth between a fridge and grill. Not sure how a giant vacuum is precise enough to move 112 micrograms of anything, but I wish I could just tell it to ignore anything less than 100g. riwenna
I also had plenty of issues with the grills getting flaky - especially when I queue more than 1 recepie. Even if it was just Omlettes and Frost Buns, sometimes they just wouldn't cook them both. Sometimes, if I queue only Frost Bun, they'll bring in too much ingreedients and leave some Sleet Wheet grains in the grill forever. But, most importnatly, I found... when I have a recepie queued on for "forever", and there's not enough ingreedients, I can't actually cancel the order or change it to a finite number of orders instead of forever. And a similar bug with the egg cracker. Really should make a bug report - I end up deconstructing my grills and eggcrackers when I accidentally queue something I didn't intend to. Try "Empty Storage" periodically. It's the reboot button for producing buildings. It would be nice if there was automation that let you force this every several cycles... The Plum Gate
I noticed that when you que up a number of different items to cook, occasionally, the delivery timing and supply available or en route to the grill will cause a fight or flight response with the grill's existentialist approach to determining if it is going to get fed the right thing or not. This happens when I que up exactly as much to cook as I have ingredients for and those ingredients are picked up and moved somewhere other than the grill because they were already going to be tended to for a delivery to storage or whatnot. Probably the most amusing instance was a simple call to grill a mushroom and cook BBQ, and somehow the meat AND the mushroom were both in the middle of delivery to a fridge when I did this. The dupes kept dropping the shroom and meat like they couldn't decide what to deliver where. You see. Each time the shroom hit the floor, it became available as an ingredient, then the grill didn't lack the resource. Meanwhile, pepper nut was in the grill.. I blame peppernuts, but I wouldn't be surprised if sleet wheat was also a contentious ingredient. Luckily I had plenty of food but first my dupes started delivering 114mg of raw eggs over and over. So I emptied the storage and they just kept doing it. Set up a sweeper arm hoping that would solve the issue but then it just started doing the same thing. I feel like it's the sleet wheat that's causing the problem, but I could be off. Sleet wheat always seems to have very strange numbers in my game (like 1258.39 sleet wheat grains) so it stands to reason it's doing some strange manipulation to deal with those odd numbers. Who knows though. I may end up making 2 grills so that one handles all sleet wheat foods to see if that appears with that grill specifically or if it's the peppernuts (since it keeps happening on my grills cooking BBQ, stuffed berries, and pepper bread).
