Edgy Rick is making this community look bad.

Yes, some of his advices are decent but they are aimed for "eXpErTs". Some of them are complete ******** though. 

He is extremely toxic. He tells "I don't struggle with any giants" and dies multiple times to diffrent bosses himself. I actually saw him fight with maxwell with no armor and axe as a weapon. He thinks his way of playing is the best way of playing. He claims he is an "eXpErT" and yet blames people for choosing diffrent characters than his "s-tier" characters when he dies. This is not a MOBA game mate, calm down. 

He is also extremely toxic in the comments, don't even read them.

well certainly he doesnt have the best manners that might be a product of bad parents or bad friends (maybe)
but it is his opinion about characters and stuff, you can choose whatever style you want hes not gonna come murder you or anything
we have more DST youtubers and edgy is just a small portion
you can just ignore him if he is disturbing you
as for the new players getting introduced to DST by edgy rick they will eventually understand there are more ways than edgy says (from the community itself,wiki,etc...) and those ways are better than his

Well yeah Edgy Brick exists but what are we suppsoed to do about it? Tell Klei "Ban Edgy Stick on every social media platform he uses"?

Every community has someone like Edgy Frick and you just have to ignore them. Most of the time people just like to trigger Egdy Click in the comments and in situations like these you shouldn't add fuel to the fire. This community is well aware about Edgy Kick.

But yeah I agree that Edgy Rick is an Edgy %$*&

The best that can be done is sadly ignoring them. There's nothing Klei can do off their own sites and youtube isn't known for handling these personalities. 

These forums aren't really the place for this kind of discussion as singling someone out, no matter who, is against forum guidelines. All these topic end up doing is drawing out frustration and bringing more attention to the offender-who already had quite a substantial following, as sickening as it may be. Some are likely ignorant but plenty certainly aren't.

Report them through the proper sites when applicable. Don't follow them because you want to watch drama or hope to "bring them down" that just inadvertently helps them.

Yes, he is doing it on purpose, and you're doing nothing but helping him.

Rick himself has mentioned doing this stuff for the reason that no attention is bad attention. It's somewhere buried in Reddit posts, regarding some podcast that didn't want him on because of his behavior; his response being that his behavior only amplifies his popularity, and would amplify theirs.

And it's true. You just told more people that he exists. His views go up every time someone complains about him, and he'll probably be getting a few more subs due to this topic existing.

 

Frankly, Rick is a genius.

Edgy lad counts on the shock value of belittling others and their opinions and he counts well. Strong emotional solicitations elicit traffic and for some that's all it matters. Is it ok from a morally benign point of view? Not at all. Is it ok for publicity? Ofc, as others above pointed out, negative publicity is still publicity. Also hordes of trolls flock so..

The Eli video and Razinghel post mentioned in the OP were both posted over a year ago. Edgy Rick has not been relevant in the DS/T community for a long time, and this post is doing nothing but calling attention to him again.
