Ice biomes being breached is just one of the sequence of catastrophes that make ONI tick. Removing that would probably not be a good idea. It also adds to each game map being unique.

Totally agree. This is the freshness and diversity in each map. I understand this could be harsh in some mapgens but as is Life . :)

It also makes it impossible for that asteroid to be naturally occurring. When you arrived there hundreds of years later, the whole thing would be a warm pool of polluted water.

Shrug, it's not realistic. If the abyssalite is breached, there hasn't been ice since a few years after that breach occurred.

But, more from a gameplay perspective: when an ice biome comes into view, I shouldn't have a race against time to go fix the thing. It should just be there whenever I'm ready to go in.

In most cases, you actually have plenty of time. Not hundreds of cycles, but still plenty IMO. The only thing you really need to protect is the Sleet Wheat.

The Abyssalite veins don't bother me, but what does is PoI overlapping each other and deleting parts of each other.  There should be a minimum spacing buffer when one is placed, within which any additional PoIs cannot be placed.

Losing one of your 3 AETNs, for example, is a big deal.
