Amount of fossils on map (Rocketry)

Recommended Posts

I just did a very limited excavation for fossils, and I estimate there is enough fossils for around 500 steel tiles on my map. Since you need around 250 for a complete steel cover, there is no need to farm egg-shells for that purpose anymore.

Update: So here is a final count for my current map: After doing one single steel-barrier over the whole map and mining all fossils, I have 60 steel tiles = 6t steel left over. That is from fossils exclusively, no egg-shells. That means protecting the map is decidedly possible only using fossils, but not much more.

That`s good to know. I believe the spaceships are made of steel as well. But with 1000 tiles worth of steel i think it`s still enough.

For a basic rocket, you will need 2700 Kg of Steel.

At this moment, nothing.

That`s only 27 tiles. I thought the cost will be much worse. Now i`m considering building rockets in my old base after the update goes live. I should have some stockpiled steel by then.
