There is also a 5th that is always a 50/50 chance of nat gas or chlorine. Denisetwin Posted October 7, 2018 Share Posted October 7, 2018 I'm playing 1288490173, the two cool steam are way off screen BUT there is a cold slush geyser right in the bottom of your base that is SO nice! Makes early base life so much easier so you can concentrate on other things. Actually there are three slush geysers on the map, the one basically at the bottom of your starting location, and then other below and a little east of it and another west. They typically put out huge amounts of -10oC polluted water, which can be used as coolant for any build, and then pushed through a water sieve for clean water. Sand/regolith is stupidly easy to come by, and cooling is one of the hardest parts of the game. You live indefinitely on a single cool slush geyser, all others are completely unneeded if you use it right, not even steam or natural gas vents are required. You are right. And if I had no idea what I was doing, I would choose the slush geyser. But I like to think I am decent at the game, so I should be okay. It should be easy for someone to verify that current seeds are still valid in the preview version. I did verify the seed in the current version though.
