Why do airflow tiles destroy a room?

Recommended Posts

I built a barracks, then added an airflow tile at the bottom so that oxygen from the oxygenator below could flow up.   That turned it from a barracks into undefined space.  Would it make sense to have airflow tiles counted the same as regular tiles for the purpose of determining a room?  My early-game dupes' lungs depend on it.

Airflow tiles do not destroy rooms. I have airflow tiles all over my base with no impact to rooms.

It is likely something that happened in parallel to your change. Share a screenshot of the room, we may be able to figure it out :)

Same, I also use at least two Airflow tiles in my rooms and they all are identified correctly.

I do sir, but before i enter this contest, i need to know:
1. Do meshtiles count too?
2. When a meshflow / airflowtile is the wall of two rooms, does it count twice?
3. 15 are you serious? (pics or it did never happen)!

OP's post title assumes airflow tiles destroy rooms. They do not.

Please post a screenshot of this room.

I figured out my problem.   I had thought that an airflow tile was a standalone object.  I didn't realize that you placed an airflow tile on top of an existing tile.  Once I did that, everything was fine.

Airflow tiles are standalone tiles, that shouldn't be the problem.

Also, all my residences are completely made of mesh tiles.  Great airflow and they can see decor through it.  Also, messes just fall through it and don't need to be mopped.
