How did you all find out about Don't Starve?

There was a time where I downloaded pirate versions of some games, so, once DS got my attention for his art style and survival gameplay I got a pirated version of it, but I loved the game so much I wanted the full content so I bought it. Time later, for my purchase od DS I got DST for free when it came out, and here we are. <3

First time I saw DS gameplay was on Twitch with some random Female twitch streamer. Her thing of the day was to systematically "JUMP INTO EVERY WORMHOLES" she uses to cross. Hah those spooky wormholes...  With her gameplay, the game was looking super boring in fact. 

Happy I came across the game again couple weeks/months later.

I had seen it forever ago on steam, actually when the original Don't Starve came out, and I'd often see it pop up in my store page. I really loved how it looked, but I didn't think I'd find it fun because of the survival mechanics (I'm real picky about my survival games, if I play them at all). However, my sister saw it last year, and she thought it would be fun for the both of us. She bought it as a surprise gift!

We played together for about 15 minutes before she had to go, and she never picked the game up again (I guess she didn't like it?) but I actually was hooked XD. She still doesn't play it, but I get on it from time to time.

I remember seeing Markiplier play it way back when, but I really didn't think much of it. Then a good friend had a spare code for Together that she gifted me, but I didn't really touch it more than once to play with her for a few years. Then I decided to try it out again when another friend asked if I had it or not, and after giving it a proper try fell in love with it.

Back in 2013 when all I did was watch YouTube, I stumbled upon someone playing don't starve. It was beta footage before sanity was introduced and it looked like a really interesting game. I kept binging more videos watching people make bases and see that more features were being introduced. I really got hyped. When I got my PC early 2014, I bought don't starve and played nonstop. Then rog was announced, got that too. Then sw and dst got announced, got those. Never stopped playing. And here I am, still playing don't starve (together). I also still play as Wilson, I've almost never played anyone else

So there was a cuphead player i saw he was going S rank all the bosses so i decided to message him and he said "oh i play this for fun the actual game i play is dont starve" in wich he sent me a group invite and a DS channel. i first thought it would be a really depressed sad game and the game had levels and each level had 1 boss so you'd start from land then sea and then caves and volcano's wich i look back and see how fun and much content and interesting story it has i installed the pirated version so if i changed my mind i wouldnt have spent my money on something i wouldnt like i got killed by a tallbird on day 2 on my first time after that i turned off the game and went back to playing cuphead again so when we had to pay for the internet service i was bored with no internet that day i played it again and i was super confused with the insanity mechanic i was like what are these things? and after that i got really obssesed and bought the game one week later which was my first purchased game on steam infact and this was the story you guys might probably not read
