JahwsUF
In the current Ranching Upgrade Mark II preview, we have the ability to set the capacity of Storage Compactors and the like via a slider but have no ability to directly set a fixed capacity... I seem to remember that functionality being in Mark I. This can be a very large problem when it comes to Shine Bug and Drecko farming. I'm experimenting around with it and have noticed that certain Shine Bug breeds require perishable food, as do the Drecko (as Peppernuts perish). Since I don't believe Shine Bugs are cool with... well, cold temperatures, it's not like I can refrigerate a Critter Feeder. If I could set the Feeder to exactly 1 kg - or even 0.5 kg - for Shine Bug feeding, that'd be enough. But as it is, the minimum amount of food I can stick in there is 8 kg! Shine Bugs don't eat nearly enough to merit that extreme amount of food as a minimum, and it'll waste resources that could have easily gone to my duplicants. Could we please have a feature addressing this? Please either allow direct capacity setting via typed number or allow for a "refrigerated Critter Feeder" so that perishables are safe within it. The one way I can see around this would be to set the critters in a sterile atmosphere so that the feed doesn't perish... but especially in the case of Shine Bugs, that's rather against the point of ranching 'em. Siromatik
Bug report it, its not intentional imo. Its worked fine, and last updates have UI and graphics issues. https://forums.kleientertainment.com/klei-bug-tracker/oni/ Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/90034-storage-and-feeders/#findComment-1028374 Share on other sites
Risu
Shinebugs in CO2 room. Dreckos in room with wild plants. Easy. Edit: Here's an example Drecko stable that they can't escape from. Though looking at it now you'd want the entrance at bottom of ladder. PhailRaptor
Actually, you'd want the Door to be offset from any of the 3 floors. Drekos can leap across a 1 tile gap, so if the Pneumatic Door were ever to be put into the Open position, they could waltz right out. Risu
Here's a 96 tile one with maxed out critters. Can see they can't reach the door in this one. SchlauFuchs
that could be nicely combined with some balm lily plants. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/90034-storage-and-feeders/#findComment-1028709 Share on other sites
