Some questions.

I am confused about jobs systems.

What happened if I reassign dupe from current job? Does he loose skills and abilities he got as part of the job description?

Does it matter if Job is at 100%?

Can I reassign them back after some time without losing proficiency?

Is there any point to get dupes to 100% in multiple jobs branches? Will they keep skills and abilities or will have an ability to freely reassign them depends on demand?

Duplicants keep traits and stats of jobs they have mastered. So if you assign a dupe to cooking, he will be able to use the grill. If you assign him elsewhere, he'll lose the ability to use the grill. But if you leave him as cook until he gains mastery, he'll keep ability to use the grill even after you assign him to a different job.

100% means he gained mastery.

Yes, the progress is not lost.

Yes and yes.

Is this only with chefs? My tenured scientist and my miners still analyse vents/geysers and dig abysallite when they have nothing else to do with their current new job

It applies to any Job that has any additional Traits to it.  Everything from Electrical Engineer, to Mechtronics, to Exosuit Engineer.  After the Job has been Mastered, the Traits attached to it are permanently kept by the Dupe regardless of current Job assignment.

Which, in turn, means that when you reach that point in your base development, all Duplicants should be run through Gopher, Courier, Exosuit Engineer, and Groundskeeper.  3 of them increase both Strength and Carry Capacity, the other increases Athletics and negates the Exosuit penalty.

I misread what Kasuha said, I didnt see he says if they have not mastered it they lose it. Sorry

One thing I just realized was that their "Learning" skill makes them learn the other skills faster.  I only ever want one dupe doing research, so I never trained more than one dupe on that Job branch.  Until I read that raising that skill allows the other skills to be learned faster, now all mine get their turn on the lower Research job.  Cross training each dupe on many jobs is a must for me.

I believe each scientist job gives an additional +2 to learning. I could be wrong though.

Ok sorry if i hijack your thread.

Got confused myself about HOW job mastered effects apply. I have a 1000+ cycle base with my starting dupes trained in every job, so they should have every jobs skill boni.

But there seem to be 3 kinds of jobs:

A. Miner/Scientist ...                              you get +2 for each stage of the job mastered (+6 Digging/Learning)

B.Exosuit Engineer/Gofer                     it shows Gofer for the Athletics instead of the Exosuit Engineer (maybe others are false labeled too

C.Engineer(Operate branch)                there are 3 engineer jobs which add +2 to tinkering and the boni don´t stack like for A

Learning affects passive leveling, not Job training.  Dupes gain stats just by doing things associated with doing that task.  Running around and climbing Ladders gives Athletics, performing Research gives Learning, etc.

One more thin unclear to me.

When dupe has job his demand for the quality of food and environment increase. What happened if he masters multiple jobs? Do all this demands sum up or just current job matter?

The highest one

All the Jobs the Dupe has previously mastered, and the one they currently hold (if any) are compared, and the one with the highest tier is used.
