Master Miner
The bridges can have more intuitive graphics in plumbing and ventilation overlay, so that flow direction it is immediately clear. The arrows on input and output end can rotate with the bridge to always point in the flow direction. Additionally, there could be an arrow on the bridge. WiDOWZ
While I concur that it is confusing for beginners and a decent implementation. I its just that; confusing for beginners. I'll also admit that I'm a bit fond of making things slightly more complicated then needed in this kind of game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The Plum Gate
I'm just glad it keeps getting brought up - I really can't stand the current iconography for inputs and outputs. The number one problem I have with it - crowded configurations.

I significantly recall using the term complicated, not challenging; two very distinctive meanings. i.e. This is a complex game, not really a challenging one. Obscurity is a subjective term that isn't always subject to objective interpretation.. more so when you can figure it out in less then a minute, just saying.
