PhailRaptor
I remember seeing a schematic for a 3 door Airlock system that also stopped the transfer of heat by leaving the middle door open. I tried searching for it, but it didn't seem to come up. Anyone have the link to the thread? Or know what I'm talking about able to recreate it? I'm in need of a hasty temperature seal while I work on a way of actually dealing with the heat. Soulwind
It's just 3 mech doors. Use automation to open the middle door remotely and gas deletion will take care of the rest. You can use a series of logic gates or just use a manual switch if it's a door that doesn't get used often Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/87682-cant-find-that-airlock-schematic/#findComment-1004959 Share on other sites
Neotuck
This is the most basic setup I like to use, Have a pressure plate hooked up to a buffer gate, then filter gate, then not gate, and finally the middle door. Every time a dupe passes though about 10 seconds later the door will close then re open Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/87682-cant-find-that-airlock-schematic/#findComment-1004970 Share on other sites
TheScaryOne
I posted a link to it in the "Useful Automation Gadgets" thread because I got sick of trying to find it. FutureJohny
I use double water locks almost exclusively. This tripple airlock deletes gasses a bit too much for my taste. I use them only in rarely used areas with little space. They are made frim simple time sensor and set to close for 1% of day during night. (Active 99%, Start ~80%) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/87682-cant-find-that-airlock-schematic/#findComment-1004979 Share on other sites
TheScaryOne
If someone could figure out a way to automate it so that the inner door snaps shut before one of the outers (configurable via mirroring) we could have a temp-tight airlock that also spits gasses back in one direction. The Flying Fox
Here, this is the same general idea of Neotuck's design that he posted, but with 4 doors instead of 3 which is probably a little better at prevent gas leakage then a 3 door design. SamLogan
4 doors design is cheat, easy to set up (without automation) and block 100% of gaz exchange.
