addyz0r
Hey just a quick question, Am I overlooking how to deconstruct wash basins? When I do, they empty the water and polluted water as well, on the ground. Germs all over my base. Thanks in advance Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/86872-deconstructing-wash-basin/ Share on other sites
Arash70
take it easy on yourself, build hand sanitizers Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/86872-deconstructing-wash-basin/#findComment-996854 Share on other sites
addyz0r
When I used to deconstruct them, they were emptied into bottles and delivered to bottle emptier. Now they are just emptied on the floor. Arash70
here, take my build as a model if you like find a chlorine spot, take some bleachstones and build hand sanitizers. this is the way Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/86872-deconstructing-wash-basin/#findComment-996860 Share on other sites
addyz0r
I understand what your'e a saying and it's a good base you have. I build wash basins and want them removed and upgraded with sinks or sanitizers, but when i deconstruct them, the dubes empty the polluted water on the ground. Thanks in advance Is this in the beta branch, because you're absolutely right about them normally dropping containers. If it is beta branch it's either a stealthy change or a bug. addyz0r
It's the beta, occupational upgrade. Guess it's a bug, as I expected. But just wanted to make sure. Quite a messy bug Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/86872-deconstructing-wash-basin/#findComment-996863 Share on other sites
TheOlz
Report it, if it isn't already - confirmation of whether it's a bug or change would be nice Really hoping its a bug, btw Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/86872-deconstructing-wash-basin/#findComment-996865 Share on other sites
addyz0r
Yeah I hope it's a bug as well. Moggles
The first time it happened I ALT-F4 out because I was expecting bottles but instead all my clean water was instantly infected with the mess. addyz0r
@Arash70 This isnt hard. It hasn't been for over a year. Back when there were no unlimited water and you actually had to dig to get polluted water to get clean water and everything was finite. Only real way to survive were puke bases. That was hard. Now it's get gyesers, one for power, one for water and one to clean everything. Just have to be careful with germs and fast enough to get water cooled and you should never die. But back then tools that you used were much more limited, The most complicated building was just the natural gas generator, right now you have to consider all of these overlays, use all of those tools and thats where it gets complicated. Let me give you an example, getting plastic: 1-Make an oxygen room 2-Make exosuit room 3-Make a lot of power to support it 4-Go down and dig and just hope you find oil 5-Make another room for oil processing 6-Make power for that room 7-Cool it down somehow 8-Make a pump down in the oil area 9-Make a plastic manufacturing room Now you might be able to get some plastic. You can do that with a lot of dupes actually, but its too resource heavy for my GPU (GTS 450). So I end up having 6-8 confused dupes, and sometimes I just end up in a logical deadlock. I think the minimum required gpu should be gtx 950m and the recommended gpu should be a gtx 950 or 1050; while in the old times my gpu performed really well on this game. Or the CPU if you've got just a reasonable dual core or better. It is just very badly coded. Case in point, the difference in FPS between my laptop (i7 6660U (2 cores/ 4 threads) with 16GB RAM and Iris Pro iGPU) and my workstation (dual socket Xeon 8 core/16 threads, 192GB RAM and dual Vega Frontier GPUs) isn't really that big. At ultra-speed there is a big difference but at all normal game speeds there isn't. You're absolutely wrong, the game does tax the gpu, at it should tax the gpu (because of parallel computing). My gpu is almost always at 100% You see, fps doesn't drop, but when they get confused, they start killing themselves and not doing jobs based on given priorities. As I said its a matter of parallel computing performance rather than serial computing performance which cpu does. Saturnus
I think there's definitely something wrong with @Arash70's set up. This game hardly uses any GPU at all, nor CPU in fact. It's just really slow even without maximum out any resources. It also only uses one thread as far a I can tell. addyz0r
@Arash70 The game is more complex in what you can build, but the survival bit is hardly even a problem if you do it right. When I started playing there were no gas generator. The only power were hamsters and coal. You should check out the vomit rocket. Crazy. You ran out of water and puke makes water. Quite a lot actually. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/86872-deconstructing-wash-basin/#findComment-997324 Share on other sites
