Utilities for naphta: what are they?

Naphtha had unique property but now it's quite useless.

Not entirely useless. It has low thermal conductivity and high evaporation temperature which makes it useful liquid air locks for example.

Sorry for the noob question, but I can't find it in forum.

Probably because you misspelled it. It's naphtha, not naphta.

Call me old fashioned but I still don't trust naphtha - until it's a fully implemented liquid - i'd avoid using it in your builds all together. Luckily my previous base had no naphtha locks, but I daresay a lot of people who had those 2 tile high airlocks in their farm areas sure felt dumb when the update landed :D

In short, until it has a bottled texture and a viable use other than "ooooh it's properties seem handy!" I really wouldn't put too much effort into breaking the mould with it.

Properties seems pretty consistent with real life properties now so I think you're just being overly cautious for no reason.

I've been told that it's still been vanishing from liquid locks - so i'd rather play safe for now.

Have you finally taken the plunge and upgraded to TB then saturnus? I thought you were staying on AU forever :D

Unfortunately yes. The release was early so it updated itself, and now there's no way to get back to the previous version.

It's a massive downgrade in my opinion. Performance increase people are raving about are virtually non-existent, or not noticeable for me at least.

Have to say, I had an increase of ~15 fps - which was huge for me. Made my base playable again...

It's 3-5 FPS better in the best case scenario for me. The new content is pretty useless. And lots of small changes made the game much less rewarding to play, for me at least. I'm not a happy to say the least.

What's the long-term strategy? All future versions of the game will be keeping the changes introduced in Tubular Upgrade, so...

You don't know that, at all, this game is early release, the content of tubes is optional, no need to build, changes to buildings and how they work is not set in stone, we have seen changes many times before and there will be many more to come.

But I digress, we're quite astray from the topic at hand.

I have seen water displace in an airlock, so I don't know what if any actual liquid can be trusted for an airlock any more, obviously it isn't exactly intended feature either, just a byproduct of how things work of course. Something you sort of need to do until there is a proper method to do this without a huge feat of automation engineering that shouldn't be necissary.

Depressurize and pressurize airlocks, like bioshock 2. Same thing for gasses.

Changes go back and forth all the time from release to release. Nothing that is set in stone in this version is guaranteed to work at all in the next release.

On the subject of liquids disappearing from liquid locks...  I have observed this occurrence with any given puddle, given enough time and Dupe traffic.  I think the Dupes socks are actually absorbing very small quantities of liquids to apply the "Soggy Feet" debuff.  It's the only explanation that makes sense.

u can check that out really easy... water on floor, dupe goes, watch for difference...
