Webber buff ideas

First of all, yes, Webber it's my favorite character and I see how he don't hive any practical niche and when he is used it's pretty much to fill the empty space, and yes, I know that he can play the role of kiter or tank, pretty much when any of these characters leaves the game he takes that roles, so I think in some ideas to buff Webber and make him more useful:

 

Webber buff idea 1:

After Webber reach one point (deal enough damage or maybe after reaching certain wave) spider babies will grown up into Warrior babies wich will have some changes such as, like normal Spider Warriors, they'll jump into enemies and stun them when land on them, or even maybe poison them like the scorpeons do (based into Shipwracked's spider warrior).

 

Webber buff idea 2:

Similar of how Wigfrid and Wickerbottom works, after dealing enoug damage or after hitting a certain amount of times, spider babies will spawn a small cobweb bellow them making enmies go slower or paralize them (like petrifie or heal).

Webber has one of the highest dart dps in the game. He doesn't really need a buff (and I have no idea why you think he'd make a good tank)

He have somewhat high health, in case it's necessary he can't play as tank.

Even if he is a good DPS (I know he is DPS, I play DPS as him) there are better DPS characters like Willow

Webber doesn't need buffs. He's already an exceptional source of DPS even with just darts. Willow has more DPS with the meteor staff, true, but you have to consider that only one meteor staff will drop throughout the match.

This has already been tested. He outdamaged Willow even before he got buffed (I couldn't find the post where they proved this, it might have been archived). Yes if she uses the fire staff she deals more damage, but then you'll have to start comparing her to Wickerbottom and Maxwell instead. Bernie is the only thing she actually has for her, but that's still only marginally useful. Wendy and Willow are my least favorite characters right now if you weren't able to tell already.

Yes, Webber is great but heavily underrated. Don't let them downplay his power(AND STOP TELLING THE WEBBER TO BE THE RUNNER).

Webber has 3 spiders that each attack for 9 damage, and I've only played Webber once but the spiders seem to be invulnerable. There's 1 Abigail and she only does 3 damage and she can be killed where she drops from 3 damage to 0. The one and only time I've ever played Webber I had the highest DPS. Webber is totally fine. 3 spiders that each do 9 damage each seems like a lot. I'm not sure what their attack rate is though. And if you're actually focusing the same target as your team like you should their damage goes up against targets with broken shields.

 

I've seen people say that webber is a runner, but I don't know why anyone could ever think that. These must be the same people who think Wilson is a healer. Webber doesn't have any powers that affect his ability to get or to keep aggro. Wes is a runner because he is good at keeping aggro once he gets it. Woodie is a runner because he can instantly pull aggro whenever he wants with Lucy. Webber is just straight pure DPS.

don't forget the spiders are affected by physical damage boosts. Which makes even less sense to send him running.

They don't though. They can only reach 10 damage if attacking a mob with broken defense.

Webber isn't popular because Wilson is usally blowdart guy who can res people (no, Wilson is not a healer). Webber deals more damage than other characters can deal with blow dart. His spiders can deal 30 damage every 2 seconds, so it's 7.5 damage buff to Webber attacks.

He is number one character in no death runs

This too. Because Wilson is not needed in a perfect run, you might aswell just replace him with Webber. Other characters like Wes or Wendy will still work and get you a perfect+gold run, but it's usually Webber that a lot of players prefer.
