Unimplemented features I found while data mining (Oil Upgrade)

With the new update comes new files and hidden things inside.

Here are new things i found in the files but not in the game itself:

• Steam Turbine - Turbines are capable of industrial strength power generation with virtually no waste.
• Burner - Burners reach incredible temperatures and can quickly melt large areas.
• Liquid Channel - Channels move more volume than pumps and require no power, but need sufficient pressure to function.
• Omniprinter (formerly Generic Fabricator) - Omniprinters are incapable of printing organic matter.
• Ink Bloom - A plant that has “OILEATER” string as a name in code
• Some strings referring to hatching and laying eggs
• Farming Aptitude as a Duplicant’s attribute, Botanist Proffesion and Botanist Trait
• Scheduling Menu: assigning tasks to specific time of the day (mealtime, hygiene, recreation, sleep, work)
• Solitary Sleeper Trait: Duplicants prefer to sleep alone in a room
• Workaholic Trait: Duplicant gets stressed when idle
• Quarrying Gun
• Advanced Research
• Joules Overlay: Displays the thermal energy in each cell
• And some things that were already in the files during Outbreak update but I did not list it in my previous post:
  • Electrum, Crushed Rock, Glass, Radium, Prospectolocator (coded as “BORING_MACHINE”), Storage Areas

 

You can find those things in strings_template.pot in game files, and check for yourself

The liquid channel is a surprising one considering how water currently works haha but good work on finding and letting everyone know about this!

This might be the 8kW building that Risu was talking about.

This seems like something that the oil refinery could produce, but perhaps they took it out because it didn't have a use.

Those were in the game for quite a long time. Now they are very common, possibly because of some change to dupe temperature accumulation.

These are traits that once existed in game but were removed because they made the game extremely annoying.
Plenty more of those if you look around.

4 kg. Lasts half a cycle after you leave that area.
