In the distance, an orange-looking creature could be seen. It seemed as if it belonged in the sea, but it had the ability to walk on land. Fixated on it like a cat following a laser light, Viridis stealthily jumped off of the boat and slowly started making her way to the creature, to look at it up close. She did her best to not get spotted, because it might not be friendly.

Wiffleball was taken aback when the plant woman licked her. He'd come to expect that from Noctimus, but from her? Wasn't one licking enough for today!? Mildly disgusted, he rubbed at the spot, but found it was almost completely dry. He looked back up to see her handing him a piece of orange fabric, identical to his own. After a moment of inspection, he accepted it, then folded it up and put it in his pouch. He'd use it later. Right now, he wanted to stay with Kate and make sure she was safe.

"K-Kelsey was my sister.." Trevor explained, memories flooding in "We both lived on the streets. Life was hard, but we worked together to make it the best it could be. We would sing sea shanties together, fish together, everything....B-but then.." Trevor started to cry.

"!!" Viridis was surprised by the sudden movement, and made a quick jump backwards. Only now she had noticed the fish-like woman standing behind the creature she way trying to inspect. It got to her that she was standing in a strange, defensive position, so she quickly regained her footing. However, she wasn't done with the finned creature yet. She jumped back, and got really close to Jaw, eye to eye. "Your eyes... they look interesting." she said.

Meritursas continues searching around for a while, but ultimately finds nothing else.  He returns to the whirlpool, dodging around the rocks until he finally slams back into the group's island.  Still very hungry, he decides a small bite couldn't hurt, and rips off a piece of soggy, rotten, waterlogged flesh from somewhere underwater.  He wraps his tail around the rock to secure himself as he climbs up onto the surface.
