Enemy idea: Floaty Boaty Rook

Recommended Posts

Basically Rook version of Floaty Boaty knight

Charges forward like original Rook but creates waves as it moves and after charging it shoots one huge bomb which creates huge waves when hitting a water.

I have no idea what would Floaty Boaty bishop look like :|

For the buoy bishop, I was thinking it could electrocute the water around as a sort of AOE attack, because we have a ranged knight, and a melee rook, so I think an AOE bishop would put in some difference. Also, Since clockworks are pretty rare, I was thinking:

1. Put in clockodials in mangroves, not my idea but I like it.

2. Put an oil leak biome in the sea, it could be where clockworks spawn. It could also have oil spouts, similar to the krissures but not harmful, and maybe petroleum jelly could be harvested from spouts using a net? Petroleum jelly could be used as fuel. Or if a steam boat is planned, petroleum jelly could fuel it along with charcoal and logs.

Make vaseline from petroleum to heal wounds.

I love the idea of an oil leak biome. It would be an excuse to add ACTUAL SHIPWRECKS into the game (which could be accessed via a diving bell or something, like in AC Black Flag) that could be explored for loot.

It could be the equivalent of the marshes in normal DS, seeing that the Shipwrecked ones are much less dangerous with the removal of tentacles and seemingly lowered merm spawn rates. Sea-tentacles could emerge from the oil to provide a new challenge too,  as well as an equivalent to the tentacle spike and tentacle spots.

I think the oil leak idea is a fantastic idea as well. The idea of fighting a group of clockwork enemies in an oil leak biome sounds exciting. Maybe make ships move slower and make the oily water flammable. Make it an extreme and challenging biome that you think twice before entering. I would love to see this implemented.

I really like the idea of Rooks sending out waves as they part the sea in a charge, making you surf out of the way and making it harder to get back in and hit them.

Also wow, Clockodile is such a great word but they probably want to keep with the chess theme for the clockworks.

Maybe just have some crocs tick as they're swimming about and have them drop gears when they die.
