Calomer Posted October 1, 2015 Share Posted October 1, 2015 At first I thought they were what spores are, making more of the same trees. I brought 10 of them up and released them around my base, hoping to get some blue mushtrees. They followed me around for a short while and disappeared. I am quite curious what they do if anything other than cosmetics. As for the purpose for now is only light . I suppose they will add more meaningfull use . There are some suggestions in the files of other mushroom/mushtree-related items, and those may figure into spores as a way of renewing mushtrees. Zackreaver Posted October 3, 2015 Share Posted October 3, 2015 Yes, and another thing to take note is that the mushtrees bloom now. They show their underside or change appearance to indicate that they are blooming, and periodically they spew out spores. There was a glitch early in the caves release that made them spew spores even after chopped down. I remember reporting that bug, it was annoying because I couldn't tell which trees could still be chopped!
