TheKingofSquirrels Posted September 26, 2015 Share Posted September 26, 2015 Is it just me, or are the set pieces for Don´t Starve waaay better than the ones from DST. There´s just more of them and the world feels so much less dead. I especially miss traps too. I made the mistake of making my world under the DST characteristics, next time I´m going classic. Also the biomes are always in the same places in DST. For examples Swamps are always next to Deciduous forests. Really just ruins the exploration for me if the random generation is always the same. Personally I prefer the game to be harder so it take me more time to master it . As for the biomes dunno I havn't notice it . The skeletons were taken out because I suppose the world fills itself up with them when people die (to the point where they start crowding the world and it looks awful). Also I guess the winter (and summer? I didn´t know there was one) traps being taken out was the right choice . I´d be pissed off if some noob in my server opened the fridge right at the end of winter. But stuff like the forts, Mac tusk villages and (my favourite) killer bee hayfields I have no idea why they would take out. Yeah, the biomes seem to always have a similar pattern. There is always a pig village in the deciduous forest and a swamp on the other side. Desserts and rock biomes are always next to each other as well, with the Dragon Fly Nest and the Hound Fortress being super close to each other. There shouldn´t be a pond there, it just makes gather Down Feathers way too easy because the infinite frogs eventual kill the moslings by themselves. There shouldn´t be a pond there, it just makes gather Down Feathers way too easy because the infinite frogs eventual kill the moslings by themselves. TheKingofSquirrels is right about the Moose/Goose nest thing, Moose/Goose is the MOST easiest mob that I have faced in DST and its FAR more easier then the original one from DS, why?...Simple, First the frogs keep killing the moslings AND the Mother doesn't do anything about it (Attacks only what is attacking it), second Its super easy to kill all the Moslings by yourself by just chasing them into a land corner and killing them or instead waiting for night and when the fall a sleep build a camp fire and kill them all while the Mother snoars, yada, and finally third, The Goose/Moose doesn't give chase any more further then around its nest, it will completely lose interest in you if get a little distance(Not to mention such a small attack area), I killed the entire family with Wigfrid under 15 minutes. Moose/Goose is easier to beat then a Koowalafaunt.
