Asparagus Posted January 6, 2015 Share Posted January 6, 2015 I just wanted to know what you guys felt were the items in the game that you cannot simply live without... or at the very least strive to have in your inventory... or simply the thing that you find the most joy in having. My friend and I have been so excited about DST... and were silently plotting to kill each other in game... but we're still busy making our base and stuff... Sure, we haven't tried to kill each other... yet... but when the time comes, I'll be ready... I personally would love to try an Ice Staff on him... but I'm not sure what to expect... :3 Wait, do we even freeze yet like in RoG? Because without it, you're screwed this makes me wonder if it's possible in practice to play without flint, I mean in theory, you could gather up enough grass and twigs to make enough torches that you could go find gold dropped on the ground, maybe find an axe (if you're lucky) to get a science machine started, and then you would have gold tools unlocked and that would allow you to play normally if you have a pig king. The trick is getting those first four logs, but if you can get that much together, you're golden.
