{I'm going to wait until everyone else catches up time wise @Halved }

Wekesa placed the insect on top of her head. "Moxie is lucky Wekesa won't eat it... If Wekesa was smaller she would eat you, but Wekesa is big and Moxie is small..."

Meredith paused in her steps and looked up as the strings strewn in the canopy above her twitched, then snapped abrubtly, the strings falling onto her head. Good. That meant she normally trapped something. So she really wasn't crazy in thinking that something was chasing her. She won't have time to collect her spoils, though; it was becoming dark, and she was accustomed enough with the creatures that lurk in the dark. With that in mind, she kept running into the forest.

(I just watched Game Theory's video on FNAF...

I don't think I can sleep tonight... PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME TURN THE LIGHTS OFF!)

Within a few minutes, Wilson opened the lid of the crock pot and lifted out some meatballs into a hand carved bowl. There was no signs of egg shell, it was fully cooked even though it had only been in for about ten minutes, and though there were no tomatoes in it, they were still covered in a pasta sauce. Athena stared at the meatballs with disbelief and shock. He chuckled and nodded.

"That was my reaction to first using this kind of cooking. By all definition we should have gotten burnt eggs and meat, but instead we have a hearty meal full of things that weren't even put in."

He handed the bowl to her.

"Go head and take it. I'll make some more. Despite the size of the crock pot I can only seem to make enough food for one person at a time. One of the mysteries of this place."

She accepted, saying "Thank you" before chowing down. She was really hungry.

Wilson gave a small nod before turning to WX.

"What kind of fuel do you run on?"

As Athena ate her meal, she could have sworn she heard a buzzing sound, like that of an insect.

Athena and Wilson both stopped what they were doing and stared at the beetle silently for an uncomfortable amount of time, processing that, one: there was a talking beetle, two: it was talking to them about a giant plant that wanted to kill them, and three: there was apparently a giant plant that wanted to kill them. Finally, Athena broke the silence.

"I'm... not the only one who's hearing that beetle talk... right?"

Wilson slowly shook his head.

"Oh good. I thought I had lost it."

Wekesa approached the camp. There were three figures and a few structures, she couldn't tell what at this distance however. She moved closer, trying not to be noticed. The tree hadn't lied. They were a good size, not too big, not too small... Whether they were an easy catch or not was another question. She decided to re-root and grow some eyeplants just out side the camp border.
