(Fasting is deadly.

Also, psycho flesh eating birds.)

A silhouette in the sky was slowly circling down onto the group.

(That's all I have. Now, if you're wondering why there are sudden flesh eating birds, that will come later.)

The birds begin to consume the flesh of Francis that wasn't covered in scorch marks and dried blood.

The bird toppled out of the sky in surprise of a feeling worming into it's concsiousness, but quickly righted itself upright, flying instead towards the crows fighting over the corpse of a mole a distance away.

A bird lands near the group, it's existence revealed by the ruffle of it's wings. It was snapping at the rabbit corpse Silas has brought, cutting away slowly at the flesh as beads of red began staining it's beak; it was notably focusing on the area surrounding it's stomach, and it was chewing away at the slightly rotting meat quickly, the head of the rabbit left. It stopped and looked up at the group.

". . .I vote going into the trees. For health benefits."

It ate the food.

Great. Just... great.

Shana contemplated striking down the one that had eaten the rabbit, but decided against it, fearing it might attract the other birds. In anger, she threw the shadow dart she had crafted into the ground before it dissipates into nothingness. She spoke through gritted teath.

"If Dorian has no objections..."

(I will make you live through your mistake over and over, Blew.)

Silas ran ahead, reaching the forest earlier than Shana, and stumbled his way through the branches into the depths of it.

"At least the birds won't see us in the canopy. And if night comes, burn everything. Perfect solution!"

(I need to remember there isn't a turn order.)

Silas turned around and directed his talk more at Shana.

"I heard that sigh! It's a plausible idea, okay! Ow."

He added the 'ow' after hitting his head against a low hanging branch.

A shimmer shined in a desolate area of the forest. A radiance of blue was shining in a corner of the denseness of the forest, a single glimmer of deep turquoise. A tree of brilliant blue was sitting in the center of the leafy expanse, it's odd color disconcerting to the eyes.

(On an unrelated note, I finished the description of the forum city. Kind of. Partly.)

Nothing gouged Dorian's eyes out, but they was an odd sight to see. A shadow in the exact silhouette of Shana was tugging on where his sleeve would be on his shadow. It wouldn't be odd if Shana was there to cast the shadow, but she wasn't. Not only that, but the eyes were completely missing, and it appeared as if her soul was in the shadow.

(Why am I finding Dorian's sudden paranoia about having his eyes gouged funny?)

The shadow tried to speak, but all that came out was a barely audible, incomprehensible whisper. Realizing this, the shadow looked around and reached for a stick, grabbing it's shadow and moving it around. Surprisingly enough, the stick moved and started writing on the ground.

Calm down. I'm fine.
