Revelations of the Madman

(So, after several real life problems, mostly relating to Christmas time, who wants a bad ending?)

- - - - -

[it's never. . .end. . .only. . .the and. . .]

Words ran so sharply across Shana's mind that it was slightly recoiling and surprising. As quickly as they came, the words slid away.

- - - - -

Silas crumpled onto the ground, his knees giving way suddenly. He gave a hiss of pain when a headache arched through his head, and he stood up quickly, his hand leaning against the bark of a tree for support.

"Well, it's happening again. Wonder how many headaches this will give me."

He sat against the tree, and hoped that the pain he would suffer would result in some use.

(Yes, we're along the lines in the Cruel Subsection of Endings.)

(Wait, no. Bad endings are bad. Cruel bad endings are worse. This is bad and I'm panicking. IM PANICKING)

Shana recoiled at the sharpness of the words she just heard. Dorian didn't see anything? But she was sure there was something there, and now she was hearing almost completely sentences. Panic arrose in her as realized she must be going mad. No, she wasn't crazy. Lots of unbelievable things had been happening since she woke up here. Unless she had been insane this whole time, hallucinating these past few weeks of events. That though didn't help calm her down in the slightest. She shook her head, trying clear her thoughts. If this was real, she needed to find Silas. He seemed to know a lot about this place. She had to find him now.

Driven by panic and adrenalin, Shana ran with haste deeper into the forest, not making sure Dorian was following.

(Oh, look at that. Shana is too.)

(**** it. If I wait any longer the world will end. Stand by for Francis's entry.)

Francis woke up in a large grassy clearing, with the sun shining irritatingly into his eyes. Slowly getting up, and recovering from mild blindness, his mind instantly turned to violent thoughts directed at the sun. Quickly running towards a small patch of dead saplings, Francis picked them and fashioned a torch. Then he straightened himself up turned to the sun, and started to yell "I AM BETTER THAN YOUUU" at the top of his chemically weakened lungs.

(Sorry, I didn't see the edit and there's really nothing I can do. Shana is in a panic, running deeper into the woods as fast as she can. I doubt she'd stop even if she did hear you, probably dismissing your shout as another sign of insanity. Blew and Percy seem to be busy.)

(Internet is working.)

Silas sat still as he lay against the tree, letting his mind go blank to allow the aching in his head to grow, to allow it to engulf his thoughts; normally a worthless action, but a justified one in this case.

Memory recollection, in Silas' case, was a process akin to remembering a forgotten memory; an object, an aroma, an idea connected to the memory is the first step to remembering, creating a link between the present and the past.

A concept flared in Silas' mind; information, something relating to a subspecies.

Silas opened his eyes, and slowly stood as he leaned against the tree, the headache in his head pulsing and slowly fading. That wasn't good. He needed to find the catalyst for the next memory; if it involved a concept, it should prove useful.

Shana slowed down a little, trying to get a hold of herself. She was still alarmed, but panic wouldn't help anything as she might miss a detail. Now they were even deeper in the forest and even more lost, but there was nothing she could do. She moved forward.

After 24 seconds of screaming, Francis eventually relented. Mostly because his lungs were on fire, but also because he decided it probably would be a good idea to look for a way out of this forest. It seemed familiar, although unusually flat. Perhaps he was somewhere in mainland Canada? Abruptly discontinuing this line of thought, Francis began skipping in a random direction, haphazardly lighting plants on fire and singing a rather shoehorned song about entering forests.

Dorian read the message and nodded, though he was rather reluctant to journey off in search of Silas alone and get completely lost, so he continued staying by Shana. He looked around for any sign of Silas's glowing soul, which should be easy to distinguish due it it's... Extravagance.

(IS SO PRETTY)

As Silas walked through the trees, blocking out the ambiance of the forest, he internally worried about how stubborn this certain memory would need; each thought is different, and each memory requires some stimulation.

If this headache was occurring right now, then something around him or on his persons was the catalyst for the memory, the link. Sadly, memories are very specific in what they need, and very obscure in what exactly will work.

Words seared into his mind, and he collapsed from the sudden impulse. Something related to creation, an object within a cycle of sorts.
