Possible Issue with Woodie in multiplayer

Recommended Posts

Here's a really good idea on turning Charlie I to a creature to fix this problem:

Charlie would be seen as a big shadow passing by other players that Werebeever could see. May be you could also see its hands on the shadow but nothjng else. But then again, this would be a problem if you're surrounded by light and in the middle is a dark spot, so I thought:

This would nerf Charlie/Grue/The night monster as in it could not beat you in a dark place that is really small. It can only get you minimum in a dark and thic straight line when it spawns, flies past you (when it does it bites you) and flies off back into the darkness.

May be if spotted, it would dissapear like the Crawling horror and the Terror beak.

They could just make it so as long as you're near Woodie in his werebeaver mode then Charlie won't attack you. Charlie doesn't like to be seen, so having her show as a shadow to the were beaver doesn't seem like a particularly great idea. So by having the werebeaver near you then he'd scare Charlie away and you'd be safe. The problem would be the massive sanity lost by being in total darkness as well as being unable to tell where exactly Woodie is in werebeaver mode since all you see is total darkness.

Heres the thing, how will werebeaver work? When you run out of "beaver juice", it skips to the next day and woodies stats are all really low. How will something like that happen in multiplayer?

Scratch that question. What happens when someone eats a mandrake? Or someone wants to sleep?

I'm so confused how all of this will work xD

Okay, so Werebeever will protect you from Charlie in night all tho you cannot see its light, the Werebeever's light will only be visible to the player playing as it. With mandrakes, just like if a pig eats a mandrake and you too go to the next day, so will happen to everyone, but the full stats be given to the person who ate it. Speaking of mandrakes there was something I wanted to mention but forgot... The sleeping would be that while you sleep Charlie won't attack you and the day won't be skipped until all players go to sleep (if) but if someone doesn't go to sleep then you'll have to wait the whole night till you wake up in the day. While you're sleeping but the day is not skipped sanity and health will have aura meanwhile and you'll get it rapidly until you wake up, unless everyone goes to sleep you all wake up and you'll get the hunger penalty and sanity and probably health back if the item gives you health. If you sleep on a straw roll which doesn't give health you won't get any health aura from it. If you're starving and your sleeping item does provide health aura then you won't lose health from starvation, it just won't go up but it will give you health if the day gets skipped still. Sinse the straw roll doesn't give health then while you're sleeping you can starve to death may be, thought that'd be bad and instead the health just doesn't go up. The sleeping thing is complicated but what can you do when it's MP?

For sleeping it's probably going to be everyone has to sleep to skip the night. For Mandrakes, everyone will get knocked out when you cook/eat one. Mandrakes are magic and cooking/eating them puts everything to sleep around you that can be put to sleep, so that's how that would probably work. But then there's the problem of the librarian being completely unable to sleep due to insomnia, it could be possible that sleeping provides a different function from single player. Perhaps they'll just make it so Charlie won't attack you while you're sleeping, and you can wake up whenever you feel like it to gain the health benifits and hunger penalty. They'd just have to make it so you can't sleep during the day, or that could easily be abused to gain quick sanity/health at the cost of hunger, which if you have healing food items that in itself could be useful since you won't be 'wasting' the food by eating when you're full.

How is this an issue? I'm sure Willow can burn her teamates through the environment, Wigfrid can hurt other players with her spear, etc. What's the ish magish?

Those are all issues... That's what I'm talking about. You just simply restated it just with more problems...

You need to trust your survival mates enough to know they won't do this to you, just how you would trust your friends in DayZ or Minecraft or whatever other games you might play. If any of those things are still issues you need to find yourself some better friends.

Why are you arguing only with me then about that? You are going against the whole thread then and in theory you have chosen to only talk to me about it. When it occurs with everyone's quote...
