Hostile mob: Wild Chester(s)

Name: Wild Chester

 

Appearance: About 50% bigger then normal Chester. 2 horns like Chester but 1 is broken. The teeth are Sharp and about 50% bigger(Those 2 that are on left and right side of the tongue while the others remain at the same size compared to the body.). Their hair between the horns should be dark grey.

 

Behaviour:

Walks around the map in a small group with between 4-5 individuals.

 

Friendly towards all mods except those that normally attacks Chester.

 

Attacks the player when they see him/her(about 3-4 berry bushes' distance, bigger range?).

 

Maxwell can befriend Wild Chesters by giving them meat(any form of meat). But they will only be friendly for 30-40 seconds(But they will still attack those that you want them to attack.).

 

If the player is too Close to Chester or have they Eye bone in the inventory and the Wild Chesters are visible on the screen then they will attack the player(even if Maxwell have befriended them).

 

 

Death: When killed by the player or a mob they will have 90% chance to drop 1 monster meat, 5-10% chance to drop 1 Hound's tooth and 5% chance to drop beefalo wool.

 

Day: Jumps around with the group.

Dusk: Jumping around with the group, if they are far away from where they spawned they will jump back.

Night: Sleeps close to eachother. 1 will stay awake for 30 seconds and then it will sleep and another one will wake up. Does this until it will becomes day(if only 1 is alive then it will sleep for the entire night). If any mod is too close then all of them will wake up.

 

 Dmg: Does about 20-25 dmg/hit

What if they just wander around during the full moon? o.o 

And about the drops... hound tooth and beefalo wool? I think a better drop is appropriate but I like the idea. Plus they should have a different color.

Maybe a random low-level item?

Like maybe a broken axe, pickaxe, log suit or some other thing?

Thats a good idea Hugos10. About the color maybe it is better if it have the same color as beefalo?

The reason why I thought about the drop being hound tooth and beefalo wool is because that...well they have sharp teeth and they are hairy.

About the fool moon they should...hmmmm...eeeh...GO BACK TO WHERE THEY SPAWNED AND SLEEP AT THE SAME TIME. BEST IDEA EVAH(seriously they should walk/jump back and when they return to that place they will sleep...or just stay awake for the entire night).

Jbeetle I would not like to meet a hairy thing with big mouth and sharp teeth that would jump towards me.

Strangedanger101 maybe lower the time they are friendly for less fun? :p And please don't cry *giving everyone 1 cookie each*

Maybe you could use an item from the wild chesters to turn your chester into a hostile chester?

 

If it wasn't permanent and had a time limit, a drawback could be if the player tried to open chester, they would get nipped, getting damaged around the same a picking a cactus,

Awwhh no, Chester is friendly....who wants to kill a Chester?    0_o

 

Sometimes when I go to sleep I see a hairy thing that looks like chester that makes a strange noice. But when I use my ficklampa it disappears but I can still hear it. And sometimes when I wake up I can see that something have drooled over by feet. I can also see some footprints.

HE GIVES ME NIGHTMARES. HE IS "FRIENDLY". BUT I KNOW THAT WHEN YOU SLEEP IN DON'T STARVE HE WILL STEAL(EAT) SOME ITEMS AND AT SOME POINT HE WILL GET A TASTE FOR HUMAN FLESH.

 

If someone gives me evidence that he does not eat human flesh in secret then I will be okay,

But only if someone gives me real evidence.

Also I might gonna call my idea "Beaster"(From Chester and Beast)

Don't get me wrong I like the idea of the mob, but I think Chester is unique so any mob like that needs to look much different then him. He is loyal, even when I whack him whilst doing something else he still sticks with me.
