(Because his name begins with an S, and that's dumbtarded.)

Wojtek didn't miss a beat. His left fingers looped around Simon's collar, grimacing for just a moment at the searing heat. It was like grabbing a lit stove! The pain soon faded, however, and he was running with a young pyromaniac behind him. It was an awkward way to run, and was quickly wearing Wojtek down, so once the barks and yelps faded into the distance he stopped and tossed the boy halfheartedly against the ground. He could have done it with a little more care..

Wojtek reached out to grab onto one of Isaac's arms mid-run, yanking the man from his sprint as Simon lay passed out in the grass. "He's going to need some soup when he wakes up." Just then, the physical twangs of exhaustion snapped him back to reality. He was able to hide the frustration from his voice, but he was seriously getting fed up with the lack of basic care these strangers treated themselves with. "Hell, need some soup! I haven't eaten anything but carrots and.. well.." He gestures halfheartedly towards Isaac's chest, reminding them both of the black goop. "I haven't seen you people eat either, and it's been a day so far? When you don't eat you don't function, and when you don't function you end up waking up next to your old high-school with vodka on your breath and a boot in your face." Realizing what he'd just said, he cleared his throat. He laced his arms underneath Simon's, hoisting him up. "Basic survival dictates we all eat an actual meal." Wojtek's own state was proof enough of that, his skin paler and his figure gaunter than it had been the other day.

David glared angrily at the compass, it's arrow being as dead as his sense of morality. The arrow in question hadn't moved an inch since having been passed to him, much to his displeasure. In fact, it wouldn't even point north any more. Just as he was beginning to scan over the 'why' of the situation, the strange man suddenly spoke up, claiming that the compass would only work when he was using it.

"Oh. I see..." David remarked, eery calmness resonating from his voice. "Well then..."

David drew his arm back, fully prepared to smash the useless trinket on the ground, when all of a sudden the world went dark. Actually, that phrasing isn't fully accurate, but whatever was causing the nearby area to be lit up vanished, returning the surroundings to darkness.

Moments proceeding that, an inexplicable chill blew past David, and he overheard something else coming, only much more loudly. For whatever reason, it sounded like something was walking over dried leaves, or shattered glass. He gripped his sword and quickly stuck the compass in his pocket, preparing himself for whatever else this night could throw at him.

One of the last things he was expecting to see was a familiar face, let alone that of his captor, and definitely not in the form of a disturbingly accurate ice statue. Maxwell, the man had claimed his name to be, was who had brought him into this place, and seemed to be the 'man with the plan' in this world. Emotions were tangled inside of David on whether he should be grateful or angry towards the man, but all the same, he could only find himself able to say one thing.

"Oh. It's you."

((This is going to be fun.))

West got the feeling that this man wasn't really listening to most of what he said. In fact, some time after being handed the compass, the man appeared to be having a heart attack or something, though, at the same time, he wasn't. The reason be is that the man's eyes went white, and he fell to the ground. The man's vitals were normal, but it was as if something had possessed him or something like that. West felt the man's skin, which was ice cold. West got the feeling something odd was happening, so he took the compass out of the man's hand. West could tell that this wasn't supernatural; More like some dark, malevolent force. West sat down on a rock near the man, and waited to see if something would happen.

(I know we've all been giving you an obscene amount of sh*t lately, but two things.

  1. This isn't a huge deal, but you used "the man" and started sentences with West (4 of them back to back to back to back!) ad nauseum. It's extremely awkward to read.
  2. Did you really just make Shadow's character spaz out and collapse on the ground like a retarded baby chimp, then take back your compass?)

((Spirit, you're really being a pain in my ass. Every action you've taken thus far has been bullshit at best, and complete powergame at worse. First you 'are dragged over' right on top of me, and refuse to change that even after I tell you you need to since meeting the most psychotic person on the island on your first post is rediculous, then your compass develops a miraculous new trait to only work in your hands the instant I try to take it from you, and now David's somehow managed to lost the compass because West hallucinated something? No. This is stupid, and I don't care for it one bit.))

(*taps fingers on desk* I have put up with this long enough. Your last bit was indeed powerplaying David, spirit. None of what you typed up matched what Shadow had typed up, which makes it not a retype in your own words what happened. That would have flown.

Also, if you wanted to make it so that the compass worked only for you, you had the chance to make it official in your character sheet, just like I did with some of my own character's traits. Instead, the fact that the compass only works in your hands is a bluff made in attempt to keep your pasty white butt alive.

Further powerplay, spirit...will result in everyone else getting an entertaining-in-OOC-view show of West's end. Understood?)

(Should I wait until spirit's post gets edited to be less powerplayish to post, or should I post now?)

(If I did post before it was edited, I would have a valid reason to hate West even though I just met him. Though it would also make the last part of Shadow's post seem insane.)

(Yeah, sorry, probably not a good idea for Lament to appear near David and West, since I've already said that Maxwell's near just those two. Chias, I didn't leave an opening here, did I...?

The ice hound, Verglas, is heading back toward the other hounds, though...Lament could smack into that.)

(...I'm not making him do anything. What he sees, and what West sees, are completely different, because, I dunno. By the way, do you know what I hate about the forum games on this site? You people are playing in third person. WHY? WHY ARE YOU PLAYING IN THIRD PERSON? IT MAKES NO SENSE. Seriously though, David is like, having a vision or something, what he sees isn't actually there. I could explain it to you much easier if we were doing this game in first person. Also, you know what is power playing? Controlling Maxwell, or controlling the outcomes of your actions. That SHOULD be for the GM to decide.)

((You're not even sure of what you wrote, and YOU wrote it! You can't just powergame something like that, and you definitely can't just pass it off as my character having some 'vision'! You fucked up, Spirit. You forced my character to magically freeze so that you could retrieve your compass, not to mention that you altered the entirety of the situation as a non-moderator and suddenly made Maxwell's ice statue only visible to me, in spite of how Tess never even mentioned such a thing! You're completely cocking the story so that you're happy, and, if nothing else, that's rediculously bad form on your part. Now. Tess, being the kind person she is, has given you one last chance. If you don't pull yourself together, you're out. Now fix it.))

(Spirit. 3 things:

1-ln literate roleplays, it's more common to be in 3rd person it sounds more formal and makes it more engrossing.

2-No. He isn't. Read Tes's post.

3- "

4-CAN YOU PLEASE STOP POWERPLAYING. I NEARLY HAD TO POWERPLAY IN THE MELTING POT JUST BECAUSE YOUR CHARACTER RANDOMLY GOT THE ABILITY TO SEE GHOSTS EVEN THOUGH I CLEARLY SAID THAT SUCH A THING WOULD RUIN MY STORY ARC AND THAT WASN'T EVEN ON YOUR APPLICATION TO BEGIN WITH. GAH!

And pecival, I'm kinda waiting for this thing to be settled.)

(Can you people at least stop controlling the npcs and the environment, as well as the outcome of your actions, because that is usually for the gm to decide. Also, I apologize for controlling your characters. Oh, and i still say first-person is more engrossing, as it puts you in character at all times.)

((For ****'s sake Spirit. I'm not telling you again. Fix your ******* post. And you, the idiot who miraculously got past me in the border check into awesome-RP-land, are the last person we should be speaking to about advice on how to RP, especially when your ass is a moment away from getting launched out.))

West saw the man look at something West couldn't see. This was rather odd, as West could normally see everything, including... the creatures. Perhaps whatever it was, was trying to hide itself from West. West then saw the man slip the compass into his pocket, which West would have immediately objecting to, when... he saw it. A strangely tall man, with slightly green tinted skin, and a black suit. West realized that this must be what the strange man was staring at. West looked at the man, and said. "...Who are you? I swear, I've seen you somewhere, I just can't put my finger on where."
