A real solo mode to get rid of all this server-client nonsense and its dozen unwanted side-effects.

I’m not sure about PC because I have no idea how PC version of DST works but I know that on Console DST if you are the only person in the room that the game will “Auto Pause” when you do actions such as, Open your item inventory, Crafting Tab or Check the World Map. Etc..

I however had gotten use to playing in Multiplayer where the game would NOT pause, and in a very weird way… it’s hard for me to play with Auto Pause enabled, so I toggle it off in settings even when playing alone.

I just wanted to mention that because, at least when playing Solo the game does give players the advantage of pausing the on screen action to fumble through item inventory, Etc.

Crab King should be wet at all times because he's in the ocean. This is also true of cookie cutters, sea weeds, sea striders, Imposing Claws, Gnarwails, and skittersquids. Somehow it's true for rockjaws and not any of those other sea critters?

Oh, and water balloons should be able to make any boss wet, not just Dragonfly.

Axe, Pickaxe and Shovel skins should also be adapted for Gardening Hoes; they are also fundamental tools

I'm more annoyed at the gold tool skins being separate and how some of them don't have the equivalent of the regular ones.

Mob variety.

Specifically different colours and/or patterns for pigmen, bunnymen, merms, etc, etc.

Just general reskins to make the world feel more real, I guess? Kinda like how we have different flowers on the ground and different berry bushes.

Basically what these old (and now outdated/broken) mods used to do.

What even did I just read???

How are none of these mobs wet???? What's even the point of having electric weapons doing bonus damage to wet targets if not even the things that are swimming in the ocean are considered wet?????

Think that's bad? Merms are always wet, but frogs aren't. Even though frogs literally jump out of and into a pond every morning and evening, but merms live in houses.

Better item swapping mechanics. I like dedicating certain inventory slots to certain items so I always know where to find them, but the game loves to misplace them at the earliest opportunity, which then causes a lot of extra inventory management. It's especially annoying in boss fights like fuelweaver where you're swapping between a bunch of different items. It really makes me wish someone would make a Terrraria or minecraft styled overhaul to the inventory where you simply scroll to the item you want to use rather than the clunky and annoying hand slot.

Small Ones:

-Bunnyman Puffs being a separate drop to their meat and carrot rng, it makes the associated crafts restricted for no good reason

-The Shield of Terror should have a second bite of planar damage. This makes sense since planar entities are from other worlds and the terraria bosses are from, well terraria. The big thing though is that it would give a method to prep for planar entities before the rifts start like how the dreadstone armor does. Also allow Wigfrid to parry with it if she has the respective shield skills

-Add the Spatializer Circuit to Beta Tinkering Circuit II by increasing all item limits in their inventory by +25%. It's weird how it is the only one left out even though ones like the Optoelectric has an effect that effectively is nothing but qol

-Make the Night Light hold off Nightmare/Horror creatures while lit. Even with the minor improvements that it was given in the recent update, I still feel like it lacks a "purpose". Something that makes it stand out amongst the others. I feel like the warding of non-physical shadow and lunar entities would allow it that specialness and allowing it to be deserving of it's hefty price by essentially removing an aspect of fighting with preparation and resources. Obviously, there are some enhancements and tuning that needs to be made, but I think this would help make it see a lot more use then for decoration

--By putting flowers and dark petals on the drying racks on Pearl's Island, you are able to unlock the basic two teas early. This could even be a new friendship point by giving the opportunity to make and drink said teas. It would be a nice compromise to allow for early game usage without being bogged down by the winter nullifying venti

-Hide stuff like the brightsmithy and other rift related items until you activate said rift. It's kind of weird how you are being show items that you possible won't get for another 10-20 hours

-Rework how range increases work. Obviously add things like enhanced map revealing, but I would also like to see things like a range boost to ranged weapons. Just something to make it more worth it instead of a mostly meaningless boost with limited applications

Big Ones:

-Make the Scrapbook more dynamic.  Things like how much Rock Lobsters get while eating a piece of gold should be hidden until you learn the other associated piece. It also makes it feel like you are actively learning things about the world as you experience more and see how everything interconnects, instead of getting a massive lore dump from examining a snurtle

-Please rework World Gen. I really want a forever world, and it's getting harder and harder when the builds I want to build can't work because it seems like the game is intentionally making the most string bean looking worlds with presets like the moonstone having moose goose or cave entrance right next to it. I would gladly give my right kidney to have access to a more RoG style world where biomes are connected at several points and not just mashed together like a jigsaw puzzle.

Being able to look at scrapbook and characters skill trees from main menu. Sometimes I want just to check some stuff out, do I really need to load a world for this? We already have cookbook and plant registry available to check from menu, so why not?

In game named Dont Starve Together it would great if Wortox with soul jar skill could share souls with other imps which do not possess this skill.

Also I would like to be able to build soul tank structure where I could store huge amount of souls for me and other imps.

Oh and soul jars. Why can they be destroyed by mobs and bosses? Remove this annoying nonsense (bearger bin and other containers arent vulnerable to this for some reason).

maybe to let wigfrid's elding spear be charged by lightning rod, similar to morning star buff. It's a bit of a shame that it's so hard to use until cc. That and to make both her rude interlude and WX''s blocking circuit able to properly keep mobs aggroed to the respective characters, that way you can play as a sort of tank for your team.

Not exactly an addition, but more of a small buff.

I'd like Wigfrid's non-charged Spear to not be useless... As in, to gain all the benefits of the Charged Spear, except the Planar Damage.

Would be nice to not need to interact with CC's questline to use the Elding Spear.

I’ve been playing the Xbox Series X/S version of 7 Days To Die lately, and one of the features in that game that I think would work wonders for DST is the “Recipes” Button, if you play 7DtD then you know what I’m talking about, but if you do not I’ll do my best to explain it…

See in 7DtD you go around gathering items from biomes or whatever, but you may not necessarily know what picking up Pipes is for, so you scroll to it in your inventory & you select “Recipes” to see what all a Pipe can be used to craft.

In DST we already have something sort of Similar with the Scrapbook.. as Seen Here:

But as you can see with my own scrapbook some of the craftables I can use Pigskin to make are still undiscovered.

I feel like a good QoL would be being able to research what all pigskin can be used to craft without having to craft the item first. (this is just the example I’m using)

Something else I noticed that I felt should probably be brought up.

here’s a screenshot of what DST looks like on Mobile.

IMG_8287.jpeg.35498ccb316d4ebdcbe0e61a02e7bcce.jpeg

the PC version of DST doesn’t look like this unless you are using a Mod, now it COULD be because the DST Mobile Developers aren’t the same Devs as the Console Devs but do you notice how Clean Cut and easy to understand various types of On-Screen Hud Displays the mobile Version has? You can see Health, Hunger, Sanity, Boat Stats and perhaps most importantly… the Hand, Backpack, & Helmet Slots are brightly colored Blue.

Again… you can’t get this type of clear easy to understand on-screen info on PC without using Mods, & you can’t get Mods outside of PC.

  • Crab King dropping more message in a bottle in general and dropping more bottles if Pearl's Pearl or if X amount of iridescent gems are slotted into him.
    • He's arguably the mirror of Ancient Guardian but his loot is mediocre and possibly the worst at farming bottles (2 bottles potential per kill is slow with how out of the way he is). Giving him refight value would be great with more bottles per drop and an actual reason to challenge his fearsome form again.
  • Tallbirds should grow up in half the time 14 days compared to 28 days. (Also *cough cough* they should probably be able to hop on boats)
    • Tallbird raising has many flaws but the main flaw is how it kinda suffers from being an early DS feature. What I mean is in early DS there wasn't much to do so having 28 days to raise one isn't so bad. Nowadays DST has many ways to engage with survival so babysitting a bird for 28 days just gives me ways to not engage with the game isn't good, especially since tallbirds can't go on boats (very silly) or the caves. With 14 days of raising it would not be as much of a stall in gameplay, along with still being able to use the fury of teenbirds.
  • Boat items (anchor, mast and steering wheel and tin fishin bin) should only cost one of their respective refined resources and mast should be reduced to 4 silk instead of 8
    • If most people are boating for the first time it is way more efficient to collect driftwood and only use a driftwood oar, which feels good to start boating. The boat structure kits are way to expensive to justify using to make a proper boat to auto-navigate the ocean. If their prices were reduced to one of each refined resource, it would be easier to set up a self-driving boat through the ocean.
  • Mushroom related spoons and spinnerbaits should give multiple per craft.
    • I am incentivized to collect each type of mushroom for fishing (which often requires a long boring walk in the caves), which has two possible lures to craft with each mushroom. If we were to gain at minimum two of each ocean fishing would be somewhat more approachable.

I'd just want monsters that want to eat things off the floor to lag out the game less, sucks loosing a world to someone discovering a swamp that nobodies visited in two years and the spiders hunger is just shredding the ticks per second.

Okay yeah no I’m gonna start bringing huge highly controversial conversations to the discussion.

Sometime many moons ago, Klei added a Global Pause function into DST, now for those of you who do not know what that is, it Means that the game will “Pause” When the Server Admin pauses the game.

But more importantly then that: Klei added an AUTO-PAUSE into the game, again for those of you who do not know what that is: If Your the ONLY Player In the Server the game will Automatically pause itself when you Open your crafting Menu, look at the world map, scroll through items in your Inventory, view scrapbook or cookbook notes etc.

But the key take away here is that Klei has added a “System Check” where the game KNOWS your the only player Playing… yet the games Content, hordes of mobs, mob health, bosses health etc.. do not scale, even though the game now literally has functions that only work.. if your the only person in the game.

So my request is simple: If you’re going to add all these Auto-Pauses for Solo Play, why not scale the game world and it’s content for proper Solo Play as Well?
