im here and im really scared for paid dlc characters. Im almost certain that all of the base cast will be there (including webber and wigfrid - we saw a wigfrid spear in the trailer!) but i just really dont know if they plan on porting the full dst cast or not. And to me wortox and wanda are like the coolest characters ever

Nobody (except for that guy above me) seems to have noticed that Wilson is holding Wigfrid's spear in the trailer, so she'll probably be in the game.

Honestly? After seeing how pretty the water is in DSE with reflections & depth & being able to visibly see stuff under water, I would be really sad if Walani doesn’t make it into this new game. 😂

Wormwood. But even if he doesn't get added in (which would hurt, a lot) at least we got Wendy. My original main way back before Warly came out in Shipwrecked.

I think I love Warly too much after playing him so much, he's just so fun to play around. Warly fits the game so well he should be a main stay imo.

I really hope we get Wortox, i think he'd fit well with the more gothic tone. Also Soul Hopping would interact rather well with the new multi level terrain. Since form what we saw in the trailer we'll need methods to traverse up and down, like how Wendy used the flower parasol.

Wormwood is my good friend but I don't want him in. He's easily a top 3 character in DST but he's very weird and I'm hoping the game is less weird.

:c even pre-skill tree Wormwood (when he was better imo)? Or weird as in personality? Which, yeah but I associate with that a lot. Like how a lot of players associate with WX or Wendy or whomever else.

He's a weird plant thing that struggles to form basic sentences. Wormwood is weird, Wurt is super weird, Wortox is weird, Webber is weird, Wonkey is weird. I don't want any of these characters in Don't Starve Elsewhere. They bring a completely different vibe to the entire game instantly with their inclusion.

I think every character has their fans, so I'd honestly be shocked if any of the established Together crew went missing. The only ones I could realistically see for any reason are the DLC characters but only if they felt the need to make room for new characters to fit a potentially more grounded environment.  (though I would be sad to see anyone go!!)

DST didn't have any Shipwrecked characters then once Hamlet released they only ported over Warly from Shipwrecked & Wormwood from Hamlet. The rest of them are still only in Don't Starve to this day, including Wagstaff who was added as a base game character for some reason.
