С какими модами вы играете?

1. Don't Starve Alone.
2. Mod for the backpack slot only.
3. A mod that drops skill points to 0.
4. Well, and my custom rebalance mod, which I will release someday... Maybe after 100 years XD.

i mean, i do the same with solo ds x'''D eternal freezer and custom character stats so i can die fast and never starve, hahaha

This reminds me, Klei’s 40% more damage or 40% less damage from all sources is a pretty lazy way of giving us scaling difficulty.

I want to lower enemy damage to do 40% less, (especially for annoying stuff like monkey pirates) while at the same time, still suffering the full penalty for freezing in cold weather.

Unfortunately.. that is not possible.

I do still play the game though, very rarely.

I have a server where I used to play with a group of friends many years ago, but eventually they all moved on because they either got bored or because live.
I played for 1k more days on that server, but eventually I also lost interested, and I have less time to play nowadays.
I still check on the updates from time to time, and I play for around 2 weeks at a time in my old server after 2 or 3 updates (so I experience the new content with the character that got the skill tree update), and the time I have to play with friends we usually play shorter games. A quick play of Lethal Company, BEPO or your hero shooter of prefence can be done much faster, whereas this game, Autumn is basically 2 and a half hours, and by the end of Autumn you're basically just starting, specially with less experienced players where you don't rush content.

Also, is hard to try to get people to play this game from my humble experience.

I am currently enjoying the cool electric fences, the new underground biome with the new trees and the centipede boss while playing the new WX-78 beta.

This is pretty normal, tbh.

Sometimes you think certain things are OP and want to patch them out, at other times you think some things are really useless, so you buff them enough to be something you'd actually want to use... Which usually means it will be buffed to be situationally stronger than other options at the very minimum.

I don't make mods for DST specifically, since I don't play it enough to feel like putting the effort into learning how to mod it, but when I mod some other games, I do that kind of thing all the time... Though well, the mods I actually release tend to be buff mods, since I think there is more interest in those... But the mods I make for my own enjoyment often have nerfs on them too~

Without this, I don't see the point in backpacks.  It doesn't do me any good to lose my permanent protective characteristics for the sake of... Save time on running on the map...

Although I would reduce the number of slots.

All the skills feel pretty ridiculous from the start...
It's much more interesting to play when you level up gradually and unlock skills along the way. A moment to think while surviving...

I would also open all the skills for all the characters, but weaken all the skills. Even Wilson's skills...

Yep! The only thing I do that is pretty easy mode is Thermal Stones have infinite durability.
It's a rock... why does it break? and why does a sewing kit repair it? Drives me crazy. Guess other stuff that may be considered easy like action queue, or removal of some filters. but idk those can be argued as accessibility.

You can reduce any damage to the character in the DST settings ( -35%). But as I understand it, it only affects the armor.

As a long-time Souls player, I'm used to dying with 2-4 hits, and sometimes even with one...
So I personally would reduce the protection from any armor by at least 2 times (except pure).
And it would increase the damage to some creatures a little bit, and to bosses by 2 times, because to receive 10% hp damage through armor... It's kind of small... In my opinion.

I dunno bro personally I wish the folks at Klei has actual data analytics to see just how far into the game the majority of their players are progressing. And by that I mean: Being able to review their Scrapbook entries, cookbook discoveries, plant data base registry, how many times they have died, how many times they have rolled back repeatedly trying to fight a boss, what healing methods and armors were used during said boss fight etc…

Because in my opinion: I shouldn’t need 16 healing salves, 6 Football Helms, 20 Embers (for using Lunar Flame skill Willow) Bernie, A Brightshade Sword and a Beefalo to fight the Shadow Trio.

By the end of this fight my Beefalo is Dead, I have 43% of a helmet left, I barely beat the thing before its damage could out do my healing & armor protection.

Its also a bit weird to me that so many of the boss fights require walking canes or beefalo speed boosts otherwise the boss is literally un-dodgeable, but that’s a conversation for a whole other topic altogether…

I wish Klei had Data Analyzing stats to keep track of how many times I attempted this fight and the prior CC fight, how many times I failed and rolled back, etc..

Because while I still play DST, I’m no longer in love with DST.. if that makes any sense? Like instead of enjoying my time with the game like I did with solo DS and it’s two DLC expansions I find myself getting more frustrated when it comes to DST. And I get that DSTs content is scaled in a way that they expect you to play with other players… but it makes for an awfully frustrating Solo experience unless you “Git Incredibly Good”

Right now, my one and only hope is that DS Elsewhere will bring back that same love I once had for the franchise, but with DST they keep adding raid boss after raid boss after raid boss when I seem to struggle even fighting what’s meant to be easy ones that have been in the game for AGES already.

Maybe I’m suppose to always have a walking cane, Maybe I don’t know enough healing food dishes that don’t have my character pause during combat to long trying to apply heals before I’m taking more damage.. whatever the case may be, fighting these bosses feel more like a chore and less like enjoying the game anymore.

You just need one football helmet, a walking cane, a magi, and a hambat alongside a naturally generated road. Once you understand the speed gimmick, the shadow pieces are pretty straightforward to handle. I myself was doing this on the PS4 with pretty minimal issue.

Edit: I'm also a bit so-so about the speed issue. It seems like you front loaded a lot of simple armor for a load out that heavily relies on tanking. You probably could have saved quite a bit of hassle if you had a couple marble suits to greatly mitigate the damage taken and reduce the downtime between healing by effectively needing to heal 4 times less often.

Regarding speed for kiting, it is important to note that many fights can allow for a free 30% boost with cobble roads, and a player can obtain an extra 20% from a chest slot item that is arguably one of the best Mainstays you can have (alongside an armor sidegrade post rift that both gets a higher speed cap and provides 85% damage resistance). The only fight that specifically also requires a cane (or the thule club) for kiting practically is the tier 3 shadow pieces. Most other fights are pretty doable otherwise with some planning and preparations.
