The superposition of evil liquid bullets and purple gem bullets completely fixes Walter's shortcomings. This does not conform to the concept of DST. I think compared with Wendy, even if she has some shortcomings, she has a kind of beauty of DST, or even DS. And almost all of her attacks are melee, and the slingshot itself is separated from DST. According to my calculations, he has completely surpassed Worfgang. What I would change most: Make his gunpowder ammo no longer have mining capabilities. This is too OP and totally lacks the aesthetic and flavor of DST. So you're saying slowdown rounds and stinger rounds make Walter more unbalanced than Wendy, the character who can kill an entire screen full of enemies at once by stunlocking them with abigail, on day 1, with 0 investment? Now I'm not going to say that slowdown rounds aren't OP, but right now almost none of Walter's shortcomings are solved by his skill tree. He still has very few tools to combat his main sanity downside, Woby is still weaker than a Beefalo as a mount, and in all aspects besides his slingshot he is incredibly lackluster. His slingshot gives him the power to indeed hold F in a lot of situations, but what character right now doesn't have that capability with enough investment? Wortox certainly now enables his entire team to hold F and be healed through everything, even for CC, Wigfrid can hold F on near every boss and do similar, and even if she can't she can block or dodge, Wolfgang and Wanda, with the smallest bit of investment, can deliver an insane amount of output. Walter's problem from his inception has always been "ranged combat would be too overpowered and against the design of DST, so we have to make him and his slingshot as weak as possible to compensate." As it turns out that just made him weak and unrewarding to play. That being remedied has the potential to finally fix that, while still offering satisfying payoff from investing in upgrading the slingshot and collecting ammos for it. Now if he launches and the only thing people are doing anymore is using slowdown rounds to kill every boss then yes it should be nerfed, but I don't think Walter should be gutted before he can even be tested by the playerbase at large. This user has only ever posted about Wendy before, and clearly has pretty much 0 experience playing Walter, as seen by their suggestion of nerfing him by removing a capability he doesn't have. I would guess that their intention is to make us Walter players go "no, he doesn't need a nerf" so that they can then accuse Walter players who support Wendy nerfs of having double standards. Fortunately, they're really bad at baiting. I would ignore (or report for flame-baiting) and move on.
