Please make Warly worth playing.

You can't just be like "I hate Warly and I hate everything about him and I want him to change into a completely different character because he isn't worth playing and I refuse to play him" then finish it up with "btw Warly is my favorite character" and have that actually be true lol. He clearly isn't his favorite character, I don't care that he said he is.

A commissioned pfp, 100% skins, cookbook completed, most time played, ask most people i know that play dst they'll tell you i main warly, none directly provable, but anyway

He really is my favorite character, I just can't bring myself to find him rewarding anymore. Other characters are too rewarding for less effort in comparison. I've already explained why. His downside is very good and I'd love for him to keep it, but I think his perks should be made better. Characters start some of his important perks but better and more permanent and without the downside.

I'd really, really like Warly's perks to be improved upon to be worth the effort compared to other characters who start with better. Simple as that. Make them easier to mass produce, make them more potent, anything. He's a chef, a butcher, a goat rancher, a forager, a sailor, a farmer, a fisherman, give him the skills to reflect it.

so most of the time he's basically a hard mode character

And why he shouldn't? We have already enough easy mode characters, even the ones that werent have become easy mode with the skill trees

Again, there are more characters,  play the ones that suits your taste and dont ruin warly

Completely irrelevant, completely irrelevant, completely irrelevant (not even related to Warly), completely contradicting what you just said, and completely irrelevant. The only thing that matters is you saying

Did you know that the human experience is complicated, and sometimes things you like can have aspects you don't like

I think that playing Warly is worth it because you get to play as a character with unique downside and not-half-bad upsides

The problem is that the upsides aren't half-bad, they're three-quarters-bad.
They require so much more upkeep than any other perk in the game, and are also considerably weaker to match.

But that is your problem because you dont like that kind of gameplay as you said in op, you dont even like wx gathering task for circuits

Again, If you want a character with strong perks day1 you have plenty of choices while there arent for people who wants to work for their power ups. Comparing warly to wolf really shows why you want to buff warly

I'm just repeating what you said; don't apply double standards, Mr. Arubaro.

I know is worthless arguing with you but i will answer this to make it clear

Op dont like to play characters that require work, there are characters that doesnt need as much work or any at all. Period

whatever problem you have with me because i disagree with your vision of wanting the game easier while wanting the characters stronger keep it for yourself because i dont care and it only makes topics get fill with noisy, inmature, void comments

All we're suggesting is that we want to make each character more fun and unique to play, please don't say like "fill with noisy, inmature, void comments"

You should just use ThePlayer.components.health:SetMaxHealth(1)

You're not understanding my complaints nor my problems with how Warly is currently.

I think WX-78 is a well designed character. You need to put in effort to get the buffs you want. The difference with WX compared to Warly, is that WX gets to keep his buffs for way, WAY longer. You can keep them forever if you want, they only lose durability if you take them out or die. The buffs are also really impactful and noticable.

Warly on the other hand, his buffs are very temporary, require constant work to upkeep. The problem is, and was never that Warly had to work for his buffs. It's that the buffs he works towards barely last, and are barely impactful. The work isnt the problem, the payoff is. The payoff, and the fact that some of the buffs, like Chaud Froid, are heavily locked behind just waiting for things to respawn. You can't be electric for an entire season, let alone buff your entire team.

The problem is not the work, it's the upkeep and reward being LOWER than characters that start with it.
If you're going to work for an entire season to set up farms and stuff, only for the reward to be lesser than something someone else starts with, you might want to do some changes. Not to the work required, but to the reward.

tl;dr i don't hate the work i hate the fact the reward for said work is horrible

Okey, it didn't seem that with what you wrote in op but i agree and i always advocate for a buff for the duration of his special dishes, getting a bigger ammount of spice per craft, allowing to spice stacks of dishes, improving the salt spice and adding more special dishes and spices

What i would hate and i fear is that the skill tree will remove or dimiss some of his downsides or adding dumb unbalanced stuff like is being the rule with the rest of the cast

I'd be fine with warly getting more stats from food like in shipwrecked, or some perks that make eating a meal straight from the pot way better, encourages you to cook on the go.

I'd also love it if they rebalanced a lot of the wackier crock pot dishes.

As for dumb unbalanced stuff, im fine with Warly being the one to recieve weird kind of broken perks, as he is the one who has to work the hardest for them. Moonshroom Coffee, anyone?

I just hope he becomes an absolute powerhouse of a payoff.

That would make his downside even less strong... unless they really increase the penalty for repeating foods this doesnt make sense, you can already repeat a good ammount of dishes before not restoring enough stats.

Only if is hard to obtain like what happens with volt goat jelly.  Is an op damage buff but you cant get a lot without working a lot

I think Chaud Froid is flawed in that, it's not about working a lot, its about setting up a farm and waiting. If they changed it to where Warly can cause them to repopulate rapidly, at the cost of actually having to kill them, that'd be neat.

Moonshrooms can only be gotten from the lunar grotto unless you got a wormwood so wouldn't be too big of an issue.

I have a +5k day world as warly and didnt set any farm to get the horns. I simply spawned more herds in spring and kill them everytime i need horns

The newly created goats are their own herds,I never thought of that...

You could set up so many volt goat farms at once with that.

Exactly,  you just need to leave the just spawned goat alone and eventually will reproduce

That goat spawned from the hunt is their own herd. Just take care of they dont taking aggro on anything since they spawn enraged.

I have a big chunk of peninsula filled with pens with goats so the herd dont merge and in that way i can find them easily since they like to roam arround

I have teleported a single one of each herd to a mini island from the moon island archipelago to keep the herds safe

They are a good way of getting milk, large meat and a good ammount of horns and anyway i dont waste as much horns since most of the time i fight with only pepper spice but if you need many i think there is no limit in the number of herds. You can provoke rain with the telelocator staff or change to Wickerbottom to keep rain going during hunts

dont worry ragnar they are making shadow abigail solo deerclops with no heal potions while you have no farming buffs

warly better get kirby's final smash from ssbb or i am going to riot (not really i'll just be sad)

People here are just being dishonest as ****, jumping to the conclusion that he wants Warly to lose all downsides and start doing 2x damage forever based on nothing, and they get mad at this conclusion that they themselves came to, even accusing the author of the post of not liking the character he plays. Asking Warly to be better doesn't mean giving him superpowers, no one asked for that, Wes received interesting things, and that didn't make him a strong character out of nowhere, not that I think Warly should receive the same treatment.
Another thing, is he a strong rewarding character or is he a hardmode character? It kind of can't be both things, if you believe he should remain weak because you think he should be a hardcore character, say so, don't make it seem otherwise if you yourself believe he is indeed harder to play, don't discredit someone wanting the opposite as if it were automatically wrong because he actually so so good, because in your view he is perfect, difficult and bland as he is.

I main him, i dont see how he isnt worth. Is because he doesnt have free op perks? Precisely the fun of playing warly is to work out for your power ups instead of spawning day 1 with them

By definition of comparison to other players with and without skill trees now and before he had fallen into category of being there for the challenges swapping to someone else cause don't wanna waste time playing as him.

I feel like warly kit doesn't really help him survive at all, every other character trade weakness for better survival in other part.

Also in terms of support role, his spot is also weird as well, unlike wormwood and wicker , he doesn't produce extra resources and actively require resources to grow his farm plants.
he doesn't have a massive payout if you compare him to the resources drainers like wurt and winona

he also dont get the fun of using the stuff he made because your local fighter is gonna be better at using it than you do

also if you look at his chief special , most of them are just expensive and pointless , the best you get is spicy voltgoat jelly which is weird for a character that is for support, we need more interesting food like grim gallet
