Let us put little creatures and perishable equipment in the Icker preserve kit, or restore freshness slowly.

Recommended Posts

The Icker preserve kit is cool since is like a stationary Bundling Wrap, and also worst that the Bundling Wrap, since the Wrap can stop everything for spoiling, and also we already have the Polar bearger bin for croc pot dishes that don't stop the spoiling but makes them last A LOT longer, and then the Icker preserve kit becomes a niche structure. To give this post rifts structure more utility I think it should stop the spoiling for little creatures like moles, birds, spider, crushtashines, etc. and equipment like hambat, floral shirt, clever disguise, etc.

Plan B, make that the Icker preserve kit restore freshness slowly, so it will be more useful to restore stacks of food long forgotten and also won't outclass the instant freshness restoration of salt crystals.

For now, it will be near my drying rack station to preserve my jerky.

I still don't understand the preserve. Does it stop spoilage, or slows it down a lot?

Stops it forever. Like a 1 slot non-portable bundle wrap

The cost, the stage we get it, and the one item downside of icker preservers are all perfectly fine but-

Yeah, Bundles make them much less impactfull unfortunately.

I wish it allowed you to put multiple stacks of single item. That would make it good, but not good enough that bundles become useless.

hmm if i can put light bug inside, basically icker will be better than mushlight - grow infinite light and very cheap.

Assuming it glows while inside.

You can get this before rift right ? just kill the nightmare werepig and don’t make his armour

Wait you dont know glow berries and sunfish already glow inside?

I tried this in my  ps4 world and it didn’t work is this a bug ?

This is post rift, Icker needs massive buffs.

We should be able to put and stack creatures inside Icker.

Food should be stackable like 4 normal stacks in one Icker and it should restore freshness.

Gathering food in abundance is easy and you can bundle it so I don't see how buffing icker like this as an issue at all. Post rift items and structures should be valuable and the reason we activate rifts and combat new enemies.

Why should Icker be mediocre expensive structure beaten by bundling wrap that you can have quite early?

You need icker jars to craft the structure, which can only be gotten from ickers, which spawn post rift.

As someone who loves farming all types of food in the game, I'm kinda cool with the preserve as is as its perfect for visual clarity and quickly grabbing ingredients or having specific stockpiles of food near certain fights without needing signs. Even though I think its fine as is, I guess keeping living things in stasis as well as perishable items would be very valuable. The odd thing about the preserve kits that works against them is that it seems mobs can interact with the items within the globs O' goo.

I had my kitchen next to the sea and some penguins spawned in and tried to raid my pantry for eggs lol. If mobs were not able to raid the preserves I would be content.

I'm 1000% down for everything that can perish being able to be inserted, including mobs!

IT would be funny to restore a Hambat on it while in base

"or restore freshness slowly"

The only thing that would make this item truly special would be its unique in-game functionality. I hope Klei makes this possible.

i prefer if they buff salt to restore freshness of ingredients but allow us to place mobs in them so managing spores, gleams or having butterfles prepare for decor wouldnt be a chore
