Klei Skin team should prioritize giving skins to items that don't have skins, instead of giving the same thing a 5th skin

I want skins for more character-specific items, like Lucy. Also, I think the Terraria night armor skins would be better-suited to dreadstone than the Fuelweaver drops.

More character item specific skins would make sense, since people play... characters.

Winona buildings, Wurt houses, Wormwood stuff, bernie, ect.

you have to keep in mind most people playing aren't anything like the forumites and they arent using complicated/niche items. it is just a facto f life, klei has to think of those people too

But why doesn't any Woodie skin come with a Lucy skin if every Wendy skin comes with an Abigail skin?

well, before wanda came out wendy basically just competed with wigfrid for the most played character in the game on any given day. there used to be a guy who could be pinged and he would give random dst stats. i am sure he would know but that was like two years ago X''D i have no idea if he even is here anymore

To add to that why doesn't every willow skin get a berine skin? Serially theres only one bernie skin that exists.

i'd agree that skins for more common items would sell more but the thing with the Dreadstone set is that it's very ugly... if Klei would release a skin for the set it would definitely have good sales since players would most likely want to buy the skin (more than other endgame items) to have a nice looking equipment instead of a ugly one. Hell i thought they made it intentionaly ugly so players would be inclined to buy skins for it

It' barely a matter of 'buy' at this point. Hibearnation vest has a twitch drop. There's kind of nothing more I hate than torches getting twitch drops. It just guarantees that I won't watch streams, unless I actually enjoy the broadcaster.

If hibernation can get one, surely dreadstone could get one too.

 

The people who make excuses for this or for that such as "No one uses X skin" or "X skin won't sell" 
Like, hibearnation vest objectively has fewer users than dreadstone armor sets.

It seems to me that this is an idea that at some point came to everyone's mind. It would be wonderful if klei did it.

Personality I think some of the higher-use items that only have 1-2 skins could use some more. Give me non-silhouette oars and pitchforks! Give me more golden tools!

quite true, sadly, though it would be an easy way to add some of the "alternative" mobs from the Hamlet, Shipwrecked world into the game........since those also sometimes reuse a similar or the same mechanic / animations as basegame mobs. Though it would of course not quite feel the same with the rest of SW/Hamlet missing.

true, but it seems easier to reskin then make a new mob so that seems like the more likely option
