How to make CC quest line not boring?

Atm CC quest line's really boring imo, you only need to do the moon stone thing that doesn't even require fighting even if you aren't using pathfinding bugs, go to a biome without any things that can realistically deal damage to you since you can just run through archives and break all husks that're close enough to the puzzle circle to aggro onto you after becoming able to attack, do a boring random puzzle that anyone can do, simply go in a line that a thing shows to you, bring 2 things that could be very far from each other and lunar and require having a beefalo onto a boat and go to lunar in a line that a thing'll show to you, do tasks that just require bringing specific stuff and either hoping for RNG rain, fishing RNG, getting a shadow manipulator even though you might not need anything else from it and could've skipped it otherwise to save time or waiting for spring, do a really boring, easy and simple boss, wait for things to spawn and mine them for a day, do the wagstaff mini game thing and do another really long and boring fight

It's obvious that CC could get reworked to not be as boring, but how specifically? It doesn't have many anims to use for reworking it through a mod and idk how to even make it good, and what could be done with the rest? It's just bringing stuff from places to other places for multiple days

Pearl should have always been optional content, not a gate to the end game

Maybe. We need to know the ideas for it before anything because even if it's not the most engaging of things there are only more ways to make the whole worse than better. At least the cycle to repeat CC got sequential improvements which were super healthy, but I'd say those were easier to bring than restructuring the initial questline.

Depending what's done I could look forward it but I also have another problem with this whole thing and that's the replayability and freshess of the places that were required for CC. The Archives, Crab King, even the Crabby Hermit and the whole Lunar Island fall rather flat once you've done the stuff, they're not exactly useless and they aren't all on the same scale of emptiness, but certainly all deserving of more content we could return for that isn't just us megabasers building in here.

My suggestion is to move the alter piece somewhere else so you don’t have to fight Crab King to obtain it or do any of Hermit Granny’s RPG quest grind.

Im not exactly sure how it should be changed, maybe it can be the only celestial part you’ll need to go down into caves and bring back to the surface idk, Idc.. I just don’t like having to fight a Pearl socketed crab king to get the thing.

Ive never fought CC, but I have done all the steps right up to actually summoning it. And I’ve enjoyed the new global rifts stuff that’s suppose to happen after fighting it.

I strongly feel like that if our characters are getting these skill trees to unlock shadow and lunar powers from day 1, that it probably wouldn’t hurt for the content those powers are suppose to go hand in hand with to not be tied to such late game progress anymore.

Well, either get three opal crab king or do pearl's quest could be an option. I like pearl's quests due to it being different. It brings some life to the world and being able to do it for some character.

Sometimes it's less about rushing but appreciating the gameplay we get as experience. Not everything should ever revolve around fighting and kiting, that's what is making the game kinda boring.

3 opals take up 3 slots instead of 1 unlike pearl so it'll be easier and faster to do so everyone'll do that since even if you want a harder fight, spending many days on getting pearl probably wouldn't be worth it

kiting isn't the main thing about fighting and nah, quest line definitely would've been much better if at least CK and CC were more fun to fight

I mean, just sounds like a personal problem than an issue I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Help grandma or suffer not accomplishing CC's defeat.

as said, personal opinion, but I enjoy it. Not that hard, not easy, but fine enough to be done during the several days of end and start of two seasons

anything can be reduced to straight forward actions like you describe.

Do you just hate the game? You described the whole playthrough to cc being boring.

If I'm being completely honest with you, I agree with it having a lot of rngs and it being "boring". I don't think the game was ever made for speedrunners, but Klei even changed the way moonstorms worked and now made cbking easier. Touching Pearl is just overkill my guy. They can already beat cc before winter, so asking for it to be intentionally less of a hastle even will affect the player who likes for it to take time to do.

I assume you're talking about being boring because you're either focusing too much on the end goal and not enjoying the trip or speedrunning, which mean the same thing, but frustration is a big part of it anyways so. Maybe I just didn't understand.

no, because there're only a few strats for doing the quest line and we aren't getting more through updates unlike e.g. for fighting some bosses and you'd execute most parts of that about as efficiently as possible on 1st few tries so there's very little to improve at
