Changes

  • Removed Skeeter Bomb on explosion screen flash and shake.
  • Winona’s Hotlight skill’s heat intensity has been lowered.
  • Rose-Colored Glasses HUD overlay has been added.
  • Adjusted the Rose-Colored Glasses selections:
    • Closely Examine action is now filtered out in many cases where it would always be invalid.
    • Fuel discovery is limited to examining specific types of things that have some Charlie/shadow connection. (We hope to expand this to more things that make sense.)
    • The action for Vine bridge discovery should only come up at valid points near the world edges.  (We’re also hoping to add some effects to hint at this as well.)
  • Fragile Rose is no longer stackable.
     

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Shadow Merms claiming a Royal Tapestry.
  • Fixed Crab King breaking Sea Weeds.
  • Fixed Wurt’s Slippery Hide I & II perks affecting damage over time effects.
  • Fixed missing strings for Wurt’s Sated Sovereign and Sensible Swamp Fighter skills.
  • Lunar Merm thorns no longer hit other merms.
  • Teletransport Station recipe can now be scanned using the Calibrated Receiver.
  • Strident Trident will no longer damage undamageable targets.
  • Fixed Winona’s skill tree backgrounds being very hard to see in the character select panel.
  • New Lunar Merm will maintain follower loyalty status.
  • Shadow merms will no longer burn nor sleep.
  • Added missing attack animation of Merms.
  • Fixed clients crashing when opening up Communal Kelp Dishes and the upgraded Tool Shed and the upgraded Armermery.
  • Fixed a crash when The King’s Pauldron Quest was achieved.
  • Fixed a crash when Winona’s Generator is burnt.
  • Fixed a crash with the Crab King destroying Sea Stacks.
  • Fixed a crash with W.I.N.bot helper circles showing and despawning.

  • Fixed a crash with Grainy Transmission trying to trade with nearby players when it should not.
  • Fixed a crash with Merm King buffs when the player had followers like ones from the Critter Den.
  • Fixed a crash with Merms using tools on an object that breaks right before they swing.
  • Fixed a crash with Merms trying to eat non-food items.
  • Fixed a rare crash when planting a Surprising Seed.
  • Fixed a crash related to Scared Stiff Planted Surprising Seeds.
  • Fixed a crash sometimes when removing W.I.N.bot.

We have big things in the ocean, add little ones now and maybe the "ocean is too empty" feeling will finally end. Since we are talking about Ocean QoL, can you add some small portion of land/island, where we could use it to expand with docks and maybe make a base in the middle of the ocean? It can be something extremely small like 1 tile in the middle of nowhere. And what about Packim Baggims?

What I miss most about Shipwrecked are the SMALL islands, like that one with the Slot Machine.

Could you guys fix all the bugs related to using followers for fighting crab king. 

No point having all these new and improved merms if wurt cant even properly use them to kill crab king (a boss wurt is now encouraged to fight for trident upgrade to merm king) without the merms drowning during ice phase.

Edit: making followers re-emerge on your boat after drowning instead of on mainland would be a good start.

I don’t know if this is a bug or not but if it is could it be a feature 

so when you use the mudskippers if your near water or void it creates tiles which I think would be fun to use like making your own island or making void base honestly I’d be find even if you keep it as just using it water

Any chance we can get info on what the goal of skeeter bombs are? The craft feels needlessly expensive for 1 bomb, the mosquitos it summons easily lose focus on their target if they even target what your fighting at all, and throwing the bomb in succession kills the mosquitos you summon prior. Are there any plans to address this?

As if this is the first bug with trawl nets and boat collision in general. You don't even need trawl nets, a few anchors would do, just an oversight? A lack of understanding of the sailing mechanic as a whole I'd say

it doesn't matter whether or not it was an oversight. people on these forums need to be critical AND constructive. you weren't the latter. it's klei's job to improve their game and our's to give productive feedback.

Doesn't matter though, constructive or not it gets ignored if it doesn't fit their roadmap.

Wow holy cow are you rude. Imagine getting free updates for nearly a decade on a five dollar game (on sale) and calling the devs incompetent. You really should go outside of touch grass.  Something just rubs me the wrong way about being that entitled and needlessly rude.

I mean... you do realize that keeping dst alive is in Klei's best interest? I mean, sure, the devs are (probably) passionate about this game and it is (hopefully) their labour of love but there's no denying that dst is Klei's cashcow. If they want to stay in bussiness at the level that they are right now, they have to keep updating dst, so that the studio is making money off of skins and what not. The only other Klei game that comes close to being popular is ONI and that game is very niche-like and cannot be easily turned into an RPG boss-fighting sandbox like dst can
