Maxposting
the title says it all, i think i regret having my pods break and yet i feel like they should renew as they're limited and cannot be easily replaced/spawned back in, unlike volt goats/beefalo/plants of multiple kinds Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/155832-should-slurtles-be-added-to-world-regrowth/ Share on other sites

Gi-Go
They honestly need an update. They are considered hostile and players auto attack them, while Maxwell's workers run away from them. I also think that bee hives, killer bee hives, hound mounts and slurtle holes should regenerate hp. I wouldn't mind healing them if I had to, but because you can't see hp without mods I am not sure if they are at safe hp. Slime production is also rather inefficient regardless of what method you use. I wish they'd produce a lot more of it. Slurtles also have too much hp in my opinion, and their armor is heavily outdated to have such a low drop chance. And the resistance they have could also be updated to work like scrap werepigs armor and be weak to planar. Slurtles also eat salt for some reason which is very lethal for slugs and it's a missed opportunity in my opinion to give salt a use. Could be used to kill slurtles or heavily damage them, and since they die from non physical damage they could guarantee to drop their shell unharmed. Sometimes the characters starts running way back and hitting the Snurtle Mounds when there are Shadow Creatures closer. T_T Snurtle Mounds could definitely be turned renewable. Activating cave rifts puts them on the endangered list during normal playthroughs. chirsg
I made a suggestion about this a while ago. I highlighted additional issues as well, such as the mounds having an abysmal health pool without even the benefit of passive health regen on the said mounds. It's really a bit ridiculous. Mike23Ua
Yes & also No. I’ll explain in more detail.. but is anyone going to listen..? Yes- Because a lot of other things already have resource regrowth & it would make the game world feel more alive when new mobs (or in this case mob dens) move in and take up residence in the games biomes (Similar to Spider Queens just moving into your base and eventually the area gets over ran by them if you don’t tend to them) this would apply to Bee Hives, Killer Bee Hives, Hound Mounds, Swamp Tentacle, Leaky Merm Shacks, Bat Dens, & Snurtle/Slurtle dens, etc. No- Because if they did respawn like Catcoon Dens, Volt Goats & Mushroom Rings now do, then I wouldn’t be cautious in ensuring the Dont go extinct, in fact… much like the above the mentioned resources, I would no longer care WHAT happened to them because I know Eh… they’ll grow back eventually. This makes features like summer wildfires significantly less dangerous, because instead of panicking to put out the smoldering mushroom ring before it all goes up in a blaze of glory, you know they’ll respawn eventually. Having settings to choose how often or if they regrow at all is always good. Slurtles won’t have to worry about wildfires, but one riled Abigail or Fire Mage Willow could (currently) drive them to extinction. Uedo
Yes, mounds should respawn. At the very least in endless. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/155832-should-slurtles-be-added-to-world-regrowth/#findComment-1711979 Share on other sites
00petar00
Probably everything should be added to regrowth in some capacity. I don't like houndious shootius requiring horn from AG since we need to kill FW to farm them, maybe ag should respawn but not drop chest If you don't kill FW. stone fruit bush, anenemy and beefalo are an issue now that brightshades kill whole herds too. Thulecite isn't what it was years ago, it isn't so precious anymore so why do we need to kill FW to get more? I know that you can use dust moths but the recipe is terrible and no one will ever find this worth doing.
