Was there anything said about them this update and I just missed the info? When the first short + skin sets came out, I think it was very reasonable to think that Klei would be doing them every time, but we've gone 3 months without it now and all signs point to that having been a one time thing. It's not embarrassing or unfair to anyone for Klei to do something once and then proceed not to do it a second time just because people were expecting it a second time. I think this site can be super entitled sometimes, but they promised an explanation for the last skill spotlight’s unrelated short and never delivered on that. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find the post, since it was most likely said in some forumite's thread instead of the update release one, but the devs definitelly said that there was a reason why Willow and Wigfrid update that dropped in late December had an October-themed cinematic with completely unrelated characters And they said that the skins and explanation would be provided. So, back in January, one could read that as "Oh, there were some problems at the end of the year and they had to delay/switch things around" but now, 3 months later and after a proper update release, this feels more like the devs have only started working on the skins/cinematic after the community backlash. They said that an explanation would be provided and that it was related to the roadmap, which then gave the explanation that animated shorts won't always be related to their update (and might even release entirely on their own sometimes). Klei never mentioned any sort of skins for Willow and Wigfrid, that is an expectation of a pattern that wasn't actually there. There have been multiple times in my life where I could go to gamestop and find Willow there if I wanted to. She got a new skin two days ago. I can totally understand the disappointment of expecting new stuff for your fave and then not getting it, but like. It's not like this was Wortox and Warly getting robbed of a once-in-a-lifetime short or something. I think Wigfrid and Willow fans are probably some of the luckiest out there. They said they would drop some shorts, along other stuff, in between the updates. The merm and pig short was just a valentine's tale, so maybe the wig and willow short will drop in the following weeks after the scrapyard update.
