I felt like her design is a bit oudated for that skin specifically, not really reflecting the look, the age, the elegance she's supposed to be for what she went through and she could pull off to make herself look for a fancy party.

Lack of wrinkle, little gown puffiness, the hair isn't as big in volume and not very white compared to what's ingame. So with little time I've got right now did a rough sketch for her face.

A bit of black lipstick from charcoal or so, more hair volume, more wrinkle and the kind of queen that would scoff at you for silly suggestions or nonsense you'd talk about. A bit of sass, not as seductive as her shadow skin but more reserved and shown that she's more important than you.

Thoughts?

She really needs those cheekbones that show up in her witch outfit. They do a lot to show facial structure!

I'd personally want her dress to be touched up. It's so glad compared to what we have today!!

The black lips are a major improvement, a more stern expression might help a bit, too.

I agree. Tho with the gown I'd only add a bit of puffiness to it while keeping the design. She's supposed to look more old fashioned fancy skinny old lady.

One thing I feel like before Wickercheekbone was introduced as a concept was the reason why she kept her old appearance till the artists figured out how to draw her. Her face feels very Wilson esq. and it's okay with some chars but not her fully. Needs more bone to that cheek.

After seeing how much the artists' work has improved over the years in DST, I would love to see what they could do to bring some of the original Guest of Honor skins up to snuff. Some of my previous suggestions for updating the Formal skins had made it and I hope this is another one that gets added ASAP! :D

the gown definitely needs more puffiness, it looks so good in the portrait but in use it looks so flat. Would be much easier to use in my outfits for other characters.

I agree with almost all of the changes brought up in this thread.
To me, her dress comes off as the least detailed aspect of her formal skin, especially when you compare it to the dress icon itself.

I think a number of the formal skins could use a touch-up in terms of quality, what with them being part of one of the oldest collections (being almost as old as DST itself!) and only just recently having the whole collection completed. Wigfrid and WX-78 comes to mind.

I'm guessing you're referencing this thread of mine from last year.

While I think accentuated cheekbones/sunken cheeks could add more flavor to her appearance, it would likely have to be implemented to all of her skins which might not sit well with most folk, not only because it can look off at times (especially combined with glasses), but because people tend to not want content that they may have paid for to be altered (as opposed to "polished"), lest we repeat something akin to the Moonbound Wigfrid drama.

And while on the subject of polishing up Wickerbottom's skins, here's something I've only just recently noticed on her default skin:

What is this sharp, jagged outline on the side of her head? Leftover art? Hair?
It isn't present in any of her other skins and has presumably been there since the original Don't Starve.
While the original artstyle of the games mimics a hand-drawn Tim Burton-esque style with "intentional flaws" like floating outlines (most noticeable on the top of WX-78's head), this looks almost pixelated to me and very out of place.
The left side of her head looks a lot more reasonable with minor, but still noticeable "scribbles" and I would love if this discrepancy was addressed.
