Where are we at roadmap wise?

Recommended Posts

first was the 3 content updates

  1. From beyond - Taking root - the lunar late game
  2. From beyond - Terrors below - the Shadow late game
  3. ?

Then the mentioned 2 Core game enhancements

  1. Scrap book (?)
  2. Skill spotlight (?)

Standard events

  • year of the(____), Cawnival, hollowed nights, winters feast and so on...

A bite sized cross over (both a nod to its size and dst itself)

  • Obviously Cult of the lamb

An the 10 year Celebration.

So If I am not missing anything here, we should be looking at a content update? I mostly tried to put this together to understand where we are at, but I am a bit uncertain if some things count as a part of the plans in the roadmap.

The skill tree's seemed like they could be called a Core game enhancement but at the same time im not certain its not considered a content update.

If anyone has any insight or input on the matter, that would be great, just a bit confused on what aught to be next for an update.

i think its safe to say skill trees for characters are core enough, but the scrap book is just a sort of wiki add-on (that I think came together with Terrors Below)

so most likely its going to be September - From Beyond 3rd update, October - Hallowed Nights event November - Skill trees + Winters Feast (I think Winter's Feast usually comes together with an update)

Scrap book (?)

Like Wardin said, this was just part of Terrors Below, so we can expect one more Core Game Enhancement update this year as well as another arc update

My personal prediction is that the content/arc update will be next, considering the last big update was a Core Game Enhancement one.

What's process usually look like as far as big content updates?

(ie assuming this is rifts part 3 or whatever)

Do they typically get announced several weeks in advanced ? Does the patch just arrive? Does it have a whole beta and all that?

Obviously what happens when is anyone's guess. I'm just curious of the process historically

Usually in the beta feedback thread page it's announced that the beta is active and for however long it's gets updated and then there is a post on steam that the update is coming next week and then it's released or atleast this is what i noticed that has been happening

Considering that the lunar and shadow rifts are relatively new content that just got released, I highly and I do sincerely mean HIGHLY doubt that the next content update will be Rifts update part 3.

Or in Klei’s own words: the “It will make sense just trust the process..”

Update.

they would have to either A: Be crazy, or B have a MASSIVE update in plan to make something that just started… make sense in ONE update.

For comparison sake: Return of Them had a total of 8 Updates before reaching its conclusion & most of that content was very loosely connected to begin with… most of it did NOT in fact have any connection to each other, one minute we’re doing Lunar Island stuff, then we bounce to a couple ocean updates, and a farming overhaul update, and then reach conclusion.

Klei said they plan to continue to add to the lunar/shadow rifts in future updates beyond the current roadmap until they feel comfortable with where they’re at… so I wouldn’t expect the next update to be the “it’ll all make sense” update.

That said- My guess is the next update will be one of those Core Game Enhancement QoL updates..

The roadmap promised more stuff to do in both the early & late game, and so far.. majority of content updates have been late game stuff, so I’m assuming the next update will tackle the early game stuff.

I would like it if Klei Told us.

Also the scrapbook update was in the same update as below terrors so i think we still have another core enchancment update.
