People are still gonna like check a video or something, most what i said earlier applies, people might take a small break from silksong to try the new beta or something during the same day.

They will still get feedback.

no, i mean i never asked other players for how long they were going to play silksong. i only asked IF they were going to play silksong and if i knew they played dst i often(though not always) asked which they'd be playing

 

you are a semi-famous dst player. i don't need to ask how much you play, i already know you play about 3-4 times as much as i do since you stream it publicly.

Finally someone wrote this option here.

It's definitely more realistic that there won't be a beta because Klei will be playing Silksong than if there wasn't one because some people would test it a few hours later because of Silksong.

No. No it's not. It's much more realistic that they've been working on the beta and then will launch it - Have some of you never worked before? I shouldn't imagine i'm much older than a lot of the people who've posted here but it really feels it.

When updates slip, the forums go straight to screwed up and start to obsessed with something that has nothing to do with DST, last time Generative AI, this time Silksong.

Why is people talking about Silksong here? Yeah its famous, many people will play it, but its not like DST playercount will drop to 0 because of it. Yall are overracting way too much, many people don't like the game, others will prefer the DST beta, and plenty can just both play Silksong and lurk the forum to check for the beta changes. Theres also people that yeah will play Silksong, but never did beta testing for DST. And I also know others that are both waiting for Silksong AND the DST beta, because they play both.

And Klei doesn't really need ALL the DST playerbase for the beta testing. The more the better, sure, but it won't be the end of the world if they have like 10-15% less people in it due to Silksong or any other reason.
