2 simple changes to fix Wilson’s skill tree

Recommended Posts

1. The torch category applies to all sources of light. That way new players (who use torches) and experienced players (who use lanterns / miner hats) can both benefit from these upgrades.

2. A yellow gem costs 3 purple gems rather than 3 orange gems, and a green gem also costs 3 purple gems rather than 3 yellow gems. It makes sense to value green, orange, and yellow gems at the same level.

Synthesize1 green gem from 3 purple gem? This is too exaggerated. The value of green gem far exceeds that of any other material, while purple gem can be obtained in large quantities.

This is a good idea!

Yes please. Such a simple and effective way to make Wilson's tree better.

I think the way you craft gems are perfect right now. Only thing I would love to see changed is their cost. 3 to 1 ratio is way too high and not worth it right now. Make it 2 to 1 and maybe then players would use their orange gems to make green gems.

Make the shadow affinity allow you to animate his beard with nightmare fuel to thwack enemies for small damage. Think of it like Webers tiny spiders in the forge, they add damage but do no hitstun to not mess up kiting. Add like 5 damage to the swipe and have it swipe every few attacks.

Maybe even let it carry a hand slot item like an umbrella, that'd be cool.

Idk what ya'll are using that many green gems for ngl. I'm up to over two stacks and I have no clue what to do with the damn things.

Deconstruction staves, which are mostly used to duplicate shroomskins (glowcaps) and dragon scales (furnace, chest and flooring), aswell as turning enlightened crows into ecrown-shards (light up glowcaps) bee queen crowns into honeycombs (need more bundling wraps) and bone helmets into bone shards (make poop bucket into glowcaps)

Every so often there is also a panflute to be recrafted.

You rather deconstruct bone helm than switching to Wilson?:spidercowers:

Do both. Also use Wicker fishfarm (by Laknish I think) to get lots of spoiled fish and then use Weatherpain to hammer that.

There is no such thing as too many bone shards in a solo world.

In fact, throwing a lantern would also be great, crafting gems can be set to yellow + orange = green, green + orange = yellow and green + yellow = orange, for example. (so they are interchangeable) The "transformation of the abomination " can be replaced with something a little more interesting . the effect is like that of a holrdilnik only for a beard. This is exactly what you need to complement this skill . + bonus offer to add 5% protection to Wilson when his beard fully grows (since the trovyanaya scolding protects, I think a thick stubble can save a little

This. Torch isn't worth upgrading. Making all sources of light for Wilson better would work well with his character. The rest of tree is great, but torch seems pretty random. Like a filler.

The fixes:

Tossed torches can now be refueled by Wilson, with either sticks, grass or charcoal.

If Wilson has Fully spec’d Beard Tree & Fully spec’d Torch Tree, Wilson gains the ability to curl torches up into his beard (takes up a beard slot) leaves hand slot free for weapons or tools.

Oh and one more thing: Wilson gets an actual rework with actual content like everyone else.

There is the potentially false hope that since he didn’t get a skin like these 3, he may get a second round.

This! Klei could have added his skin with the latest update, but they didn't. It makes me wonder if Wilson is going to get another update when every skill tree is finished.
