Improving the game experience in Wormwood and Warly

Recommended Posts

Now one of the pain points of wormwood and warly  is actually battle back to blood heavily dependent on the bat knife, but the early bulk to get purple gems a bit of trouble. I played Klaus ate a sugar bean, the result gave me a bird beak a mandrake blood loss # (sinister) .
This time I thought of wormwood change method, reference robot, can greatly improve wormwood's mid-term involvement, is that you can use low popularity crops to do cost-effective items::
For example, watermelon live wood glass pieces to do watermelon bombs, throw out can give teammates back to blood back to san, to add moisture to the monster, wormwood with watermelon cap can slowly back to blood
For example, durian live wood glass to do durian bombs, thrown out can cause damage fear and slow down the enemy.
For example, eggplant live wood glass to do eggplant hammer, 58 damage can give wormwood back to blood. Use pomegranate potatoes to make potato mines
wormwood can use pumpkin live wood and moon rock to do pumpkin helmet 85% damage reduction 90 waterproof, with carrot kelp and live wood to do walking stick
The outstanding feature is that wormwood do these crops weapons are fresh and at least all need live wood, so that can also highlight the role of wormwood farming. Otherwise, I am now playing up the feeling that the seed is san +10, in addition to meatballs and baked monster meat to pick up what to eat. This change strength appropriate and will not become rub XXX tool people can also greatly improve the medium-term playability and fun.

And then I think Warly could make better use of his spices and delicacies to get stronger buffs or the buffs for longer time. while he can cook delicacies from the shadows or the moon to change the camp after consumption. We also need skins for the little red pot. As a 1200h chef player, I want the chef to be able to play alone with less difficulty and less over-reliance on onions.

I think wormwood, warly, and Winona need to improve on the lack of fun that comes with being the tools of an overserving team

Wormwood is very very strong. His downside is easily fixed by just using healing salves and spider glands he can farm easily using his bramble husk/traps.

Warly on the other hand, needs a buff. Warly was my favourite character from the singleplayer DS and i almost prefer the single player version over the new one.

I wish klei would bring back his 33% boost to all stats gained from crockpot foods that he hasnt ate in a while. Bring back his 33% hunger drain again and maybe raise his hunger stat to 300. Current DST warly has a 20% hunger drain but no 33% boost to dishes to cancel it, so all dishes functionally give him 20% less hunger.

Maybe give him more spice per grinded food stuff. The buffs dont last long and farming is very time consuming to replenish spice supplies.

I agree.

I still wish Warly spawned with a large butchers axe that could cut meat up into smaller portions.

it is VERY lame to me that Wilson of all people can use a transmutation skill to turn one large meat into two small morsels.

But Warly who is intended to be an expert food chef, can’t make proper meal proportions for everyone???

I HATE Warly, he is my least favorite character in the entire game, his playstyle is just so.. uninteresting to me- But if he had a Butchers Knife that Multiplied food values, and can also be used as a Decent Melee Weapon (maybe make his food variety penalty a tad bit less harsh..) then I would probably enjoy playing as him.

All Warly needs is food effects lasting longer on him, since it's thematic and would make him more fun to play. If they wanted they could also give him some more spices (like a chef's specialty combination of garlic + pepper) or make his portable things actually portable, but he doesn't need anything to make him easier or stronger. He's already plenty strong as is.

Wormwood doesn't need anything other than this mod: Steam Workshop::Wormwood Flowers Extender (steamcommunity.com)

I wish they add something to scare off the deadly brightshades, so I can peacefully farm as Warly after enabling the lunar rift. A lot of his dishes and spices depends on farming, but I can't do it because I have to kill 3 brightshades everyday.

Would be nice if choosing shadow alignment gives him a new dish to sneak pass enemies.

To be honest, I think the main buff Warly needs is enhanced effects from his own special dishes. I think getting double duration on his thermal dishes (alongside a buff to those dishes, perhaps), 1.5 boosts from chili and garlic, etc, would let Warly be the most effective user of his own special traits, while still keeping the ability to buff his team.

As for Wormwood, I think he is mostly fine, but I also think that giving him small tweaks couldn't hurt.

I think overall most characters could use a change here or there, and that Klei shouldn't be afraid to make some small changes to characters as a side-part of a main update. People tend to appreciate their favorite characters getting a bit of love, even if they don't technically need any changes. I really appreciated the smaller Wurt changes like losing sanity from garlands, even if a lot of them would seem pointless or inconsequential to most players. Obviously character reworks are done now, but that doesn't mean some purely numerical changes wouldn't go a long way for a lot of characters.

I think the simpler solution of all food effects, including ones not from his own dishes like that mushroom dish, having double duration would be better.

I feel like the best solution would be to just make all his duration dishes last 2 days it doesn't even need to be exclusive to him in that then to rework all of the crockpot dishes with low values aside from the dud dishes like fist full of jam to make it so most crockpot dishes aren't made at a loss.

If Warly could get a bonus boosts back and Klei really doesn't want that 33% from Shipwrecked, he should get extra flat boost for each non-repetitive food (maybe 15 hunger as if it's his favorite) They can increases the cooldown of his downside to maybe 3-4 days and I'd still be happy about it. Just want to feel rewarded when handles this perk well rather than just being a disadvantage for his other perks.

And any extra bonus from his spice buffs should be enough to compensate for his restriction to heal from one food.
