Krotux
As someone that lives in caves, the boulders falling and randomly destroying stuff without warning isn't very cool. The acid rain is rough too. Maxwell + bonehelm is going to suck since you can't repair the bone helm at all. Do these things happen in the ruins too or only caves? Also, other than the scythe for harvesting, I also don't see a lot of reason to use any of the new items. Void armor seems kinda useless?
Antynomity
The armour only exists to make the scythe a better weapon, which sucks.
Krotux
Yea its also annoying that its 80% not 90% while being T3 shadow, while dreadstone armor is probably a better fir for maxwell lol and thats only T2 I think

Brightshade and void armour have effectively double the durability of thulecite or dreadstone armour. Meaning while you take more direct hp damage the armour lasts longer meaning you dont have to craft them as often for the buffs especially if you are good at kiting. Edit: nvm my math is terrible apparently....

I like the boulders I think they can work they just more of a delay and a better warning like Antlions, otherwise I think they're a neat edition right now. Capybara007
all of the items (except scythe) introduced provide a solution the problems that the update itself gives, pretty awesome
chirsg
There was an exorcism on this forum. Sufficing to say, I will only leave the rifts on to simply craft the most tatters rich item on the menu and decon/con to farm up scythes that way. And then I will switch rifts off. The juice is not worth the squeeze. Hounds are literally a greater danger to longevity than base destruction. I cannot communicate my disappointment through humor, so I must communicate it through stark forwardness. This update sucks.

Dreadstone being T3 would have made more sense since its good for maxwell who has low hp
Captain_Rage
Maybe acid rain provides some incentive to use cheap armor outside of battle? I could be wrong but this could be a survival spin on things down below.

I do not know how big your cave base it or how many times your cave base has been destroyed by these boulders, but the boulders are not neat. These random boulders make the cave base unplayable. After the kitchen being destroyed for the 3rd time maybe you will understand it is not neat. Klei developers what are you thinking. Do you no longer want ppl to play the game? Surface no long can a person have a farm, grass, berries near the base. Now in the caves the random boulders destroy the base. Why why?
Krotux
Another thing, does the acid rain hurt cave plants like berry bushes planted near stairs? that would also stuck. In fact, none of those new things should happen near the hole to the surface
