Also a galaxy-theme skin set for characters would be cool. Mike23Ua Posted January 14, 2023 Share Posted January 14, 2023 I’ll go ahead and be the elephant in the room and say I want skins that are straight out of Shipwrecked/Hamlet. Just check out the decorations you can put in your Slanty Shanty in Hamlet! So many of those could’ve been ported to DST as DLC skins by now… Or even as fully functional new items like the Storage Shelves and the various designs for them. If your lucky enough to be playing DST on PC there are several mods that lets you add Shipwrecked and Hamlet features to DST, but if your on console like me you can only hope that somewhere in that 2023/2024 roadmap Klei seeks to add that content in some sort of “official” capacity. Maybe we may NEVER get our own customizable houses in DST, but that doesn’t excuse a lot of the flooring patterns, standing lamp skins, table designs, carpet/rug types and chairs. All of which are items that already exist in DST but don’t have many skins. Personally I’d love to be able to reskin pig houses/Bunnymen houses with some of the designs of Hamlet. Honestly always thought this is a no brainer and I'm surprised it's not already a thing. A Mushlight that looks more like a street lamp. The Winters Feast one is close, but I'd like one that's not Christmas-y. The street lamps from Hamlet would be awesome. A boat cannon that looks like a proper naval artillery piece, maybe more of a siege mortar to fit the item size better. Mechanically inspired wormholes and sinkholes/stairs. Steampunky with pistons and gears. More tent skins. I'm not a fan of the circus or beach tent styles. The leafy one is cool, but more variety would be nice. A terminator-esq skin for WX. Metal bones, wires and red eyes. And finally more Lantern and Walking Cane skins, because I have a problem. Either way, these are all extremely weak in regards to Miner Hat design possibilities. I was thinking head mounted firefly in a jar, illuminated glass lens with metal frame work, or some kind of mystical eye of mordor-esq type skins. A goofy straw hat skin with a light shoehorned onto it is a massive disservice to Miner Hat skin potential. Wormhole (I imagine it functioning like an iris mechanism that dilates to open), think tank, fish scale-o-matic, alchemy engine, scaled furnace, tackle recepticle, rain-o-meter, and thermal measure can all have potential with circular windows, gears, cogs, pipes, vents, tanks, etc. But my heart does always crave more skins from items/structures that have none so far.
